BEC Bagalkot Admission 2024: KCET entrance exam is accepted for BE admission. The KCET 2024 provisional answer key was made available on April 29, 2024. Candidates will be allowed to object to the answer keys between April 30 and May 7, 2024. KCET 2024 final answer key will be made available on May 10, 2024 (tentative). The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) will publish the KCET 2024 results on May 20, 2024.

Basaveshwar Engineering College Bagalkot B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

Candidates looking forward to admission at BEC Bagalkot must check the eligibility before applying for admissions. The B.Tech eligibility at Basaveshwar Engineering College Bagalkot is as follows:

• Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with 45% marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Biology as main subjects. For SC, ST category of Karnataka, there is a relaxation of 5 per cent.
• Candidates who have studied in Karnataka for a period of seven years are eligible for B.Tech admissions at the college.
• Candidates who have completed class 11 & 12^th from Karnataka are also eligible for admissions. However, the parents of the candidate must have studied for a minimum period of seven years in Karnataka.
• Candidates whose mother language is Kannada can apply for B.Tech admission through KCET exam but candidates also have to go through the Kannada language which is conducted by KEA.

Basaveshwar Engineering College Bagalkot B.Tech Application Process

To apply for B.Tech admissions at Basaveshwar Engineering College Bagalkot candidates will have to fill the application form of KCET exam. The application fee is Rs 650 for general/OBC category candidates, Rs. 500 for reserved category candidates and Rs. 750 for applicants residing outside Karnataka. It can be paid either through bank challan/DD.

Candidates who qualify the KCET exam will be eligible for admissions at BEC. After the results are out, KCET students have to participate in the KCET counselling process. The process starts with the verification of documents at the prescribed counselling centres. A unique ID and password will be provided to the candidates after their documents verification which will be used for exercising choices and options.

The next stage is seat allotment as per the choices filled in the option entry form. The candidates can take the printout of seat allotment letter and report to the allotted college along with the required documents. The admission will be confirmed after the payment of first-year B.Tech fee.

The selection of the candidate to the B.Tech will be on the basis of the in merit -based on the performance in 10+2 examination followed by a valid score in KCET examination.

The M.Tech/ MBA and MCA admission at BEC is on the basis of PGCET exam which is conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). For M.Tech admissions candidates with GATE score will be preferred.

To apply for M.Tech and MCA admission at BCE candidates will have to fill the application form for Karnataka PGCET by visiting the official website of KEA. Once the results are out, a merit will be released of the shortlisted candidates. The shortlisted candidates will then be called for the counselling process.

Once confirmed, the seat allotment process will begin. Once seat allotment is done, candidates can report to the respective college along with the seat allotment letter, required documents and first-year M.Tech/MCA fee.

Please note that the seat allotment is done on the basis of the reservation policy of the government.
