Indira Gandhi PG Scholarship for Single Girl Child:
This scholarship program aims at recognizing the efforts of a family to educate their girl child beyond graduation. It also recognizes having smaller families and promoting literacy among the children.
This scholarship applies to girl students who have enrolled in post-graduation courses and are their family's only child.
Slots available for this scholarship are 3000 and the age limitation is 30 years.
The scheme does not cover postgraduation through distance education.
The scholarship provides a sum of Rs 36,200 for the entire duration of the postgraduation course.

PG Scholarship for University Rank Holder Certificate:
The Scholarships aim at motivating talents and merit in academics. This recognizes meritorious students of undergraduate courses who are enrolling in postgraduation programs. This also promotes opting for basic courses as it does not cover professional courses. This scholarship encourages merit and academic excellence in Postgraduation.
Slots available for this scholarship are 3000, and the age limit is 30 years.
The scheme does not cover postgraduation through distance education.
Undergraduate courses under the specialization of Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Social Sciences, Commerce, and Languages are covered under this scheme.
The amount of Rs 3,100 is granted for the entire duration of the postgraduation course.
The candidate must submit a duly filled rank certificate and joining report for applying for the scholarship.
The fellowship amount will be disBUrsed through Direct Benefit Transfer mode by the UGC.
Ishan Uday Special Scheme for North Eastern Region
The scheme of scholarship is for the residents of India's North-Eastern region. They have passed class 12th examination in the North-Eastern region from any recognized board, including the Central Board of Secondary Education, the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education, the National Institute of Open Schooling, etc.

The advertisement or notification for the scholarship is circulated through newspaper prints, employment news, and the official website of UGC as a short notification. The complete application could be made through the online method where the students have to submit the joining report proforma for fresh awardees, the affidavit, and other relevant documents.
PG Scholarship for Professional Course for SC/ST Candidates
For the Scholarship, the following eligibility criteria are to be fulfilled:
More than 1000 SC/ST students will be granted the scholarship
The amount disbursed for M.E. and MTech students is Rs 7,800 per month for the entire duration of the post graduation course
For students enrolled in professional courses, the scholarship amount is Rs 4500 per month for the entire duration of the course
