In 2008, Chitkara University was founded in accordance with the UGC Act of 1956. Chitkara Educational Trust is in charge of running the University. It is a government-recognized university with NAAC accreditation. Both the Chitkara School of Engineering and Technology and the Chitkara School of Hospitality control are under its control. Chitkara University admission through CUET is currently open for 2023. The CUET UG exam 2024 will take place between May 21 and May 31, 2024. 

Chitkara University courses offered in BE, ME, and Ph.D. are available with a range of specialisations. Additionally, the university provides a three-year B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration.

• Candidates for BE admission to Chitkara University must have completed their 10+2 programme with at least 60% of the required marks.
• JEE Main is used to determine admission to the BE programme.
• The applicant for the ME programme must have completed their BE/B.Tech with at least a 55% grade point average (CGPA) or an equivalent.
• The University will conduct both the entrance exam and the personal interview that will be used to select candidates for the M.Tech. programme.
• A postgraduate in a relevant subject with at least 60% of the required marks, or an equivalent, must be the candidate for a Ph.D., according to the university.
• Candidates for the Ph.D. programme in their chosen subjects must have a CPI of 8.0 or 75% of the required marks for the B.Tech degree (CPI-7.0 for IIT).
• The candidate's performance on the Ph.D. Entrance Exam and a personal interview performed by the University will determine whether or not they are admitted.
• Candidates must have finished their 10+2 in the scientific stream in order to be eligible for a B.Sc. degree.

Chitkara University Application Fee :

Demand drafts issued in favour of Chitkara University payable at Chandigarh must be used to send the application fee of Rs 1100 along with the application form.

Documents Required for Chitkara University Admission :

• Certificate and XII-class mark sheets that have been attested.
• Migration Document from the previous Board or University.
• Two recent colour photos the size of a passport with your name and birthdate clearly displayed on the back.
• It is necessary to have a copy of your rank card and, if the results haven't been released, your class 12th grade and JEE-MAINS 2018 admit card. (only for B.E. admission).

The Chitkara University provides three specialisations for its BE programmes. For Diploma holders, the courses are also available through a lateral entry admission programme. The Chitkara School of Engineering and Technology is where you may take BE courses.

Candidates for the BE programme must have completed their 10+2 exams with a minimum of 60% overall and 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from an accredited board or an equivalent that has been approved by the university. Candidates for B.E. (lateral-entry) admission must possess an engineering diploma with a minimum grade of 60% from a state government's board of technical examinations.

• The Chitkara University course is only open to applicants born on or after October 1, 1996.
• Candidates with a B.Sc. degree are also eligible to apply for the BE lateral-entry program, however they must have taken Mathematics in their 10+2 or undergraduate studies.

• The scores won't be rounded up or down to match the qualifying requirements (59.99% won't be taken as 60%).
