COEP admission for all the courses is completely entrance-based. The college offers undergraduate, graduate, diploma, and doctoral programmes in a number of engineering, architecture, and management fields. COEP Pune accepts results from national and state-level entrance exams, including the JEE Main, MHT CET, MAH CET, GATE and CEED, among others, for the purpose of COEP admission. While most courses begin accepting applications in May or June, PhD applications are only accepted twice a year, in June and December. Candidates can review the most popular COEP courses, selection requirements, eligibility requirements, and the total course cost in the article below.
Students who meet the fundamental eligibility requirements, such as the candidate should be an Indian national, are eligible to enrol in the B.Tech programme at COEP as a full-time degree programme. Should have received a passing grade in Physics and Mathematics in the HSC or equivalent along with a 50% for the restricted category and 55% overall for the general category aggregate. MHTCET test results are required for admission to COEP B.Tech programmes.
Students with valid GATE scores are eligible for the M.Tech programme at COEP Pune. A CGPA of 6.5 on a scale of 10 (CGPA of 6.00 or equivalent in the case of SC/ST) or a bachelor's degree in engineering or technology with a minimum of 60% in a related field is required. Candidates who do not have GATE scores must take an entrance exam administered by the department to which they are applying.
Students can choose from three distinct types of PGD courses. A candidate must pass both interview rounds if summoned for one, per the standard COEP admission criterion.
COEP PG DERP: The COEP PG DERP admissions are offered to candidates who have recently graduated with a degree in engineering, communication, or management. To be qualified for admission, it is advised to have at least five years of job experience. Students who will be taking the senior graduation exam are also eligible to apply.
COEP PGD-AM: Students who graduated in mechanical, production, industrial, automotive, or metallurgical engineering are eligible for COEP admissions. Additionally, those taking their senior year examinations may apply for the course. These students have until the beginning of the counselling or course to submit their degree or provisional.
COEP PG-DEM: Students that are interested in finding solutions for mobility pursue the PG-DEM programme. COEP admission to PG-DEM is offered to candidates who have completed their graduation and passed the written test and interview rounds.
The COEP Pune provides PhD programmes in eight different specialisations. These COEP programmes have a three-year minimum requirement and a six-year maximum. Candidates must hold an appropriate PG degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 55% to 60%, or an equivalent Grade B on the UGC 7-point scale.
SPPU M.Phil students can also apply for COEP admissions. Every academic year, COEP will administer the Research Program Eligibility Test (RPET) twice, on any Saturday or Sunday in the months of June and December. The two steps required for admission to the PhD course are the Research Program Entrance Test (RPET) and a personal interview (PI).
COEP Pune MBA admissions are offered to candidates with a valid score in the MAHCET entrance exam. Candidate should also have a bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks from a recognised university.
