To be eligible for CSET Barasat B.Tech, candidates must have passed the class 12 with Physics and Mathematics along with any one of Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Computer Application/Technical Vocational Subject as compulsory subjects. Students must have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in the case of candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, and PWD) in the above three subjects taken together. Moreover, in class 12, students must have passed with at least 30% marks in English.
The CSET Barasat B.Tech selection process requires students to qualify for JEE main & WBJEE. The admission is granted through counselling and direct admission.

To be eligible for the CSET Barasat Diploma programme, students must have passed class 10 with a minimum of 35% marks in aggregate. Mathematics, Physical Science (Science) and English are mandatory subjects in the qualifying examination. A candidate must acquire at least pass marks in all the three subjects as per his/her class 12 board.
