Situated in North Campus, the charm of Daulat Ram College of Delhi University provides a liberal environment that comes with safe university space for women. It’s vicinity to the other premier North Campus Colleges makes it stand out even more. Awarded as a ‘Star College’ by the Government of India, DRC can accommodate up to 1300 students. It has 45 well-equipped classrooms with LCD projectors and internet facilities.
Talking about its gigantic air-conditioned library, a shortage of course material can never be an excuse to the students of DRC as the college library has over 1,00,000 titles to its name and subscription to many journals with a computerized database granting easy access to their students. It has an Amphitheatre (Rangshala) and an Auditorium (Sadhbhavana Bhawan) with a seating capacity of over 1400 students making it best suited for theatre activities and skits with a huge cast.
The peaceful and conducive atmosphere of the DRC hostel has been winning awards for the best environment of hostels in Delhi University with a massive capacity of 200 students. Daulat Ram College is a sea of societies and activities. Daulat Ram College hostel founded in 1974, is the ‘home away from home’ exclusively for outstation undergraduate students of Daulat Ram College with an intake capacity of 200 students. Due to limited number of seats, only meritorious students are selected for admission to the hostel.
Apart from various facilities, the hostel provides a comfortable and happy stay for the resident students. The hostel has well laid out lush green lawns and gardens which not only add beauty to the ambience but also help in providing peaceful and conducive atmosphere for studies. The hostel has been winning acclaim and awards for the best environment of hostels in Delhi University. It also has its own kitchen garden
The hostel is directly under the control of the Principal who is assisted by the Warden and the Hostel Committee which is responsible for all admissions to the hostel.
The College NSS Unit is very actively involved in the service of the underprivileged/disadvantaged sections of society, particularly the visually handicapped, elderly people, women and children. It aims at inculcating human values, dignity of labour and self- confidence and discipline among the volunteers. The main college NSS projects are Blood Donation, HIV-AIDS Awareness, Family Life Education, Functional Literacy, Help for the Visually Impaired, College Campus Cleanliness, Socio-Economic Skill Development and Leadership and Personality Development, Senior Citizens’ Welfare Project, social awareness besides helping allied agencies/NGOs. A student who puts in 120 hours of social service is awarded N.S.S. Merit certificate and outstanding volunteers are awarded special merit certificates and medals. In 2014-15, the NSS Unit also organized Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, National Unity Day and Inter-college competitions in Braille reading, writing, debate, skit, music and sports for the visually challenged students.
The College has an active Alumni Association which provide an opportunity to old students to connect to their alma matter. Every year gettogether is held.
Gender Champion Club has been inaugurated in the college in order to promote gender equality, guaranteed by article 15 of Indian Constitution. It aims at creating responsible leaders to facilitate an enabling environment within the college to promote dignity and respect among girls. Club intends to promote gender equality to ensure gender justice by way of activities like group discussions, debates, poster competitions, workshops, plays, motivational talks focussed on themes related to enabling legislations, government schemes and issues faced by young women. The club aims to make young girls gender sensitive, aware of their rights and create positive social norms that value the girls and their rights
The NCC Unit-JAZBA of Daulat Ram College has been continuously working towards moulding women to be the better citizens and future leaders.of our country in all walks of life with the motto of unity and discipline. In this line of thought the NCC Unit conducts several activities/camps/cadre with great zeal and enthusiasm under the guidance of Dr. Sonia Mehta (NCC-Convenor). Total strength of NCC Unit of DRC is 160 cadets. There are three certificates in NCC: A, B and C. Certificate A is in the school and B and C in the college IInd yr. and IIIrd yr. respectively. There are grading of certificate also with A, B and C depending upon the performance of cadets in their written and practical exams and attending maximum number of camps during their training period of three years. Cadet Ranks: SUO, JUO, Sergeant, Cadets, CPL, LCPL. In the three years of training a cadet can attend different types of camps in Delhi and out of Delhi.
In order to reward the cadets and to compensate them for the valuable time they spend in NCC training, a number of incentives are being given by the Central govt., State govt, Para military forces and by NCC headquarters in terms of Concessions in employments like in Armed forces, Indian Army, Navy, Air force, National Defense Academy, Indian Coast Guard, and many more
The main objective of Quiz Society is to make student believe that 'Knowledge is endless' and 'Learning is a continuous process'. It will encourage students to expand their knowledge in multidimensional areas that may or may not be related to academics but crucial for the personality development in a holistic manner. The Society organizes Quizzes from time to time to make learning joyful and filled with fun.
Physical Education Department under the aegis of N.S.O provides sports facilities to all students of the college. They are encouraged to participate in sports activities by way of conducting Fresher's sports Talent Hunt and even represent the College in different games. Additionally Training programmes for Fitness development, Personality development and wellness and well being promotion are conducted regularly for all the students of the college. It encourages mass participation through wide spread college level sport activitiess
The music society of the College, 'Alahyaa' was named after a morning raga, meaning beginning. Established in 2012, the society provides a strong platform to young musicians to explore their creative abilities and showcase their talent. They were also adjudged as the 'second best music society' by DU beat.
The Classical Dance society of the College aims to further spread the joy and wonder of the 8 Indian classical dance forms. Every fest season the Society makes a sincere endeavor, participating in classical dance competitions

Sepia: Film and Photography Society is one of the most active and dedicated societies of Daulat Ram College. It comprises of a talented batch of members who have an eye for detail, and can see the extraordinary in the ordinary. Members get to attend monthly photo walks organised by Sepia to get on-fieldtraining. Year-round activities include screening of critically-acclaimed movies and interactive sessions with film makers. Students' works are showcased at our annual exhibitionVIBRANCE. Apart from this, the society covers all events of the college, including International and National Conferences, ECA events and departmental fests throughout the session. We also conducted intra-society talk sessions for innovative ideas to promote better technical understanding and team teaching.
The Debating society is a vibrant platform with an aim to provide transformative learning to students in an atmosphere of reasoned argument and respectful discourse. They learn to express, evaluate and analyse issues/ideas and discuss solutions. They learn organization & clarity which helps them articulate their thoughts confidently & persuasively. The teamwork, critical thinking, communication, public speaking, and decision making skills the knowledge forum instills in its participants prepares them for a lifetime of leadership. The society organizes several issue based programmes in each academic session along with Daulat Ram Memorial Debate, an annual event, with a running trophy since 1985. The academic session 2016-2017 saw successful organization of the Indian Youth Parliament 'Vichaar-2017', engaging addition into Information Bulletin 2017-18 53 the debate programmes. The students of Debating Society have also been actively participating and winning accolades and prizes in different forms of debates and events organised by various colleges and institutions throughout India in each academic session and thereby enhancing their debating skills

'Dhara' Convenor: Dr. Meenakshi Thakur The bilingual poetry society of the college is an active organization of students who are budding poets and have a keen sense of poetic appreciation. The society organizes an annual fest-OPA, including events like Kavi-Sammelan, Poetry writing competitions etc. Established poets have also graced the occasion in the past, making it a success. , The Eco Club of the college spreads awareness about nature and environment. The students members of the eco club get training in papers recycling, growing and nurturing medicinal plants and making ecofriendly products. They also enjoy nature walks, visit to bio-diversity parks.

Its mission is to share knowledge pertaining to finance in general and careers in finance, organizing workshops and interactive sessions related to various topics along with such events and competitions so that students could enhance their knowledge and abilities for the way ahead.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is OK.It's library has two floors out of which 1st floor is permanently closed for many years due to broken ceiling and Principal is not repairing it.ACs are not frequent in classes.Only fans are present in the classrooms.Benches are Ok.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good.Well maintained and clean.The college has amenities needed like fresh drinking water,lifts,Ac in most labs,etc. The college library is vast and self study area with wifi.
Hostel: The college hostel has double seater rooms with all facilities such as laundry service,Ac, Refrigerator etc. It is well equipped and maintained. The mess food is good.
Infrastructure: It's nice but we need more funds to make the building best. I don't know what adminstration is doing. We really have pretty little park but that's not maintained. I wish all are up to dated to make our ranking more higher.
Hostel: Hostel fees are quite high but the facilities are top notch even better than miranda. Rooms are soo clean. It has tiles, wardrobe too. Also the hostel area is so pretty with pretty flowers around it.
Infrastructure: The faculty of our Ba History honors was really perfectionist,intellectual and supporting always motivated and encourages us.they never fails us to give their best guidance.
Hostel: As a Pg student I am not much aware about the hostel facilities but I have heard about my friends she praised the food quality and the other maintenance been provided to them.
