We at National Service Scheme(NSS) Unit DCAC can proudly say that we believed, we initiated, and we made a difference. A couple of years back, from a humble beginning with selected volunteers dedicating their time towards making the world a better place, NSS Unit DCAC is now a powerful workforce running on the same principle. Different branches under NSS DCAC are:
The beautiful underprivileged children we teach under Project TanZeal, have a zeal in them to dream, and are determined to turn those dreams into reality. The visually challenged students in Save the Quest, who consider the bhaiyas and didis going to scribe their exams no less than angels. Project Clean & Green comprises of volunteers who put in efforts to make the college and surrounding areas clean and healthy, upholding the motto of Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan. Project Arts & Craft’s volunteers form our very own decoration team for Aadya, the annual festival of NSS DCAC. Blood Connect helps to save hundreds of lives each year by facilitating blood donation. And Project Sensitization, educating us and those around us about the prejudices that stay with us everywhere we go and harm our society.
Aadya, the one day socio-cultural festival that we use as a medium to give numerous NGOs a chance to display their talents and put on sale their creations is one of the much awaited events of the year. There are exciting activities & events like Dance on Dhol, Poster Making, Street Football, Newspaper Dressing, Treasure Hunt, Eating Competition, etc.
A number of activities and seminars with guest speakers, donation drives and intense preparations for Aadya, fun-trips with the TanZeal kids and cleanliness drives, orientation sessions and other activities keep the volunteers of DCAC NSS busy through out the year.
Hostel: The well-appointed rooms are well lit and well ventilated, with geysers in every bathroom and TV set in the common room for entertainment. Each student is provided with a separate bed, mattress, pillow, pillow covers and sheets, cupboards and study table with chair.
Infrastructure: The most of the buildings and facilities are seemingly satisfactory, but there are some places that definitely need some ideas of renovation. The rec center has been my favorite too, the gym is top notch and they keep it tidy.
Hostel: At least, I should have detected sooner that I could have started searching for a place right outside the campus where I could share with my friends. Yes, the roommate life and constantly running into people you know in the hallway, became really cool at some point, but after a while, it takes away the feeling of independence.
Infrastructure: The college have small campus and infrastructure is also not that good as compared to other DU colleges and their is a lot of scope for improvements. College have all necessary facilities provided for students.
Hostel: College don't have hostel of its own in campus but as it comes under the Delhi University so students can have access to other hostels but the quality of food is not good.
Infrastructure: The campus is built in nice area and they have the best eco friendly area. They got the best sitting facilities and yeah the facilities are great here. You will love it.
Hostel: They got the best hostel in vapi, the food of the mess is great tooo. The hygiene maintained in hostel is best too. I would recommended to stay in hostel rather than pvt house.
Infrastructure: The college is really old so infrastructure is not that great. But it provides you with all the basic aminities like library, computer labs, play grounds and stuff.
Hostel: Unfortunately there is no hostel facility provided by the college but there are PG available in walking distance from the college so students from other states can easily stay near college
Infrastructure: The college campus is not that big. But it provides with all basic and necessary amenities. But the location is prime and also it is near metro station so commuting to college is also easy.
Hostel: The college does not provide any hostel facilities. But there are PGs available near to college at a really pocket friendly price. So staying near college campus is going to be easy.
Infrastructure: The framework of this collage is designed by well skilled person for the students which is required by the students with modern equipment and the framework is very good in this college
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at Delhi College of Arts and Commerce (DCAC) is modern and well-maintained. The college campus boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including spacious classrooms, well-equipped laboratories for science and computer studies, a library with a vast collection of books and online resources, and dedicated spaces for extracurricular activities and sports. Additionally, DCAC provides amenities such as a cafeteria, auditorium, seminar halls, and Wi-Fi connectivity across the campus, ensuring a conducive environment for learning and overall development. The college also prioritizes the safety and security of its students, with measures in place to ensure a secure campus environment. Overall, DCAC offers a comfortable and conducive infrastructure to support students in their academic pursuits and extracurricular activities.
Hostel: Delhi College of Arts and Commerce (DCAC) does not have its own hostel facilities on campus. However, being affiliated with the University of Delhi, DCAC students have access to various hostels provided by the university.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure here is ultimate. You can't even compare it with the private university. The medical facilities are free for the students. There is no canteen but there is an art faculty canteen, just 20 meters away, and the food is offered at very reasonable prices. They provide quality of food at reasonable prices. You can expect the campus crowd of North campus. The seminars are conducted almost every day in the moot court hall.
Hostel: I live at my own place no hostel but my friends used to be there and from their view it's just ok not so good at all and mess food is just compulsion.
