DIT University Scholarships 2025 - Details, Eligibility, Amount

DITU offers various concessions and scholarships to its students who belong to financially weak families or sections. The overall fees of all courses at the university are reasonable for most students. Below are the prominent scholarships offered by DITU:

Merit Based Scholarship Applicable to UG Programmes 

1. For First Year 

Merit Scholarship shall be awarded on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in identified subjects at the time of admission and is applicable on the Tuition fee of respective year of study.

2. For Subsequent/Continuing Years 

Based on the CGPA obtained after each completed year of study, top 10% of the students in each UG programme shall be eligible for merit scholarship applicable on the Tuition fee of respective year of study as per the following details: 

• The scholarship will be awarded to the top 10% of total students who appeared in final term examination. 
• The scholarship will be awarded to the students’ subject to clearing all papers in single attempt without any back paper, UFM and Indiscipline case. 

Scholarship Matrix (applicable to top 10% students in each programme)

• 26% rebate in tuition fee shall be granted to permanent residents of Uttarakhand for whom 40% seats are reserved throughout the programme.
• For claiming Uttarakhand State Scholarship, the student will be considered eligible only if he/she is carrying a valid Domicile Certificate in Original at the time of reporting for counselling.

10% of tuition fees waiver in the first year for B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Des and B.Pharma subject to the following conditions :

• Minimum 85% marks in X and XII class in aggregate as well as in PCME, PMBE, PME with Computer of CBSE/ISC Board/any other Board.
• Scholarship will be continued from the II year provided the student obtains CGPA 8.5/10 in every year without any back paper.

Note for Scholarships:

• In case any candidate falls in categories (A) & (B) the candidate may choose the higher of the two options of Scholarship in the first year.
• If the student belongs to the Uttarakhand category and is entitled to a Higher scholarship from category (A) in the first year, he/she will continue to be eligible for the Uttarakhand domicile rebate for the rest of the tenure of the course.
• In case any girl student is falling either in Category (A) or in Category (B) and also in Category (C ), in such case, she is eligible for Scholarship of Higher of the category (A) or (B) along with the additional scholarship of Category (C ). Scholarship Category (C) is over and above scholarship of Category (A) or (B), as applicable.
• The students who are eligible for the scholarship as per the norms specified by the university should address their application to the Registrar with relevant documents for consideration.
• In case of any dispute/discrepancy/clarification final decision of the Vice Chancellor would be abiding.

• The toppers in each branch of under graduate and post graduate (except M.Tech, M.Pharma and Doctoral) courses will be awarded a scholarship of Rs 20,000 along with merit certificate after declaration of the result.
• The second toppers in each branch of under graduate and post graduate (except M.Tech, M.Pharma and Doctoral) courses will be awarded a scholarship of Rs 15,000 along with merit certificate after declaration of the result.
• The third toppers in each branch of under graduate and post graduate (except MTech, M Pharm and Doctoral) courses will be awarded a scholarship Rs 10,000 along with merit certificate after declaration of the result.
• Siddak Preet Singh Memorial Scholarship – The overall topper of B.Tech ECE upto 3rd year will be awarded a scholarship of Rs. 10000 alongwith Certificate.
• Dr. K G Pandey Memorial Scholarship - The overall topper of B.Tech ME upto 3rd year will be awarded a scholarship of Rs. 10000 alongwith Certificate.

• The First overall topper in B.Tech across all branches (Year wise) will be awarded a scholarship of 100% of Tuition Fees of the applicable admission category
• The Second overall topper in B.Tech across all branches (Year wise) will be awarded a scholarship of 50% of Tuition Fees of the applicable admission category
• The Third overall topper in B.Tech across all branches (Year wise) will be awarded a scholarship of 25% of Tuition Fees of the applicable admission category

Conditions applicable for Scholarship for Continuing Students:

The continuing student will be eligible for Scholarship under category (D) and (E ) , subject to clearing the following conditions :

• Has cleared all the papers in First attempt.
• Has maintained Attendance in both the semesters of more than 85%.
• In case Eligible students are more than one in any of the above category (D) and (E ), the scholarship will be proportionated equally.

* In case of any dispute, the decision of the University would be final and binding.
* All disputes are subject to Dehradun jurisdiction.
