A person who has secured at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to Scheduled cast/tribe) of the aggregate marks in four compulsory subjects, i.e., Chemistry, Physics, Biology/Math and English have taken together of 10+2 pattern or equivalent examination from recognized Board/ University shall be eligible to join the first semester of the course OR Intermediate/10+2 with agriculture subjects.

For M.Sc

Candidate must have completed a four-year Bachelor's degree [B.Sc(In Respective Subject)] from this university or any other examination recognized as equal to it with at least 50% aggregate for General category candidates and 45% aggregate for SC/ ST/ PH category candidates.

For Diploma

A person who has received at least 50% of the aggregate marks in a 10th Class pattern or equivalent examination from a recognized Board/ University (45% in the case of candidates belonging to a Scheduled caste/ tribe) is eligible to enrol in the first semester of the course OR Intermediate/ 10th with respective subjects.

Direct Admission to Dolphin (PG) College of Science and Agriculture

• Visit the Dolphin PG College campus.
• It is situated in V.P.O. Chunni Kalan, Distt Fatehgarh sahib, Punjab, on the Chandigarh-Sirhind state highway. It is 18 Km away from Chandigarh towards Sirhind and 20 Km away from Sirhind towards Chandigarh. Frequent Buses are available from Chandigarh ISBT, Sector-43, from Counter No-13. Before boarding, ensure that the bus is going to Sirhind. It will drop you at Chunni-Kalan. The College is about 300 meters on the highway towards Sirhind from the Chunni-Kalan bus stop.

Dolphin PG College Fee Payment at Fatehgarh Sahib

The total fee for the year, including hostel charges (if applicable), will be payable in two equal instalments (semester-wise, in advance). Semester fees cannot be paid in part or in instalments. Dolphin PG College Fees can only be paid by the following mode:

• The fee paid by a student is not refundable under any circumstances in part or whole after commencement of the academic session unless the vacated seat is filled on or before the last date of admission.
• Students must obtain a receipt for every payment made to the College as that shall constitute their only proof of payment.
• Dolphin PG College admission/semester fees must only be paid through cash/online at the Accounts Officer of the College on any working day from Monday to Saturday from 9.00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Documents Required

In addition to the fees, to secure their admission, students will be required to produce the following certificate in original for verification/ submission:-

Dolphin PG College Refund/ Seat Cancellation at Fatehgarh Sahib

• In case a student withdraws their admission before the last date of withdrawal, the fee deposited by them will be refunded after deducting Rs 1000 from the total amount of first-semester tuition fees.
• The refund shall be made in the student's name by crossed account payee cheque only and shall be mailed by Registered post to the student in September from 15 to 30 days.
• If a student does not have a bank account and wishes to have their refund cheque in the name of either parent, they shall submit an affidavit/ undertaking along with the application for withdrawal.

Dolphin PG College Mid-Course Withdrawals at Fatehgarh Sahib

• Since the College can make no mid-course admissions to fill a vacancy, mid-course withdrawals are not allowed. No objection certificate for a mid-course withdrawal under special circumstances shall only be given if the student has deposited the balance of year fees and any other dues outstanding to the College as per the Undertaking submitted at the time of admission.
• As per the Honorable Supreme Court and the competent authority, no admission can be made by the College/University to fill a vacancy that may arise after the last date of admission for unfilled seats. Therefore, in case of withdrawal after the last date of admission for unfilled seats, it will be classified as a mid-course withdrawal, as the seat so vacated will continue to remain unfilled for the balance years of the degree. In view thereof, in case of any mid-course withdrawal, fee, by whatsoever name called is non-refundable under any circumstances whatsoever, and they have to deposit the balance years fee.
• No certificate of any kind shall be issued to those leaving the College without permission. Refund of fees is not permissible.
• No certificate of any kind shall be issued to students who have not cleared the arrears of fine, Hostel or College dues, or library books' fine.

The curriculum at Dolphin PG College, Fatehgarh Sahib, is based on application-based learning. • According to the Dolphin PG College (DPGC) 's website, students & Staff members of Dolphin PG College (DPGC), Fatehgarh Sahib, donated 83 units of blood. Taking yet another step towards its diverse activities for the welfare of society, Dolphin PG College (DPGC) and Bharat Vikash Parishad Kharar (Mohali) organized a Blood Donation Camp in coordination with the Blood Transfusion Unit of Civil Hospital Roopnagar(Ropar), Punjab. The camp was inaugurated by Dr Shalini Sharma, MD (Pathology) Civil Hospital Roopnagar(Ropar)
• According to the Dolphin PG College's website, the Students of Dolphin PG College (DPGC), Fatehgarh Sahib visited Bhadson Fish Farm. Bhadson fish farm is under the leadership of Mr Ranjoth Singh, a progressive farmer and this farm were established in 1987 in Nanoki village District Fatehgarh sahib having a total area of 36 acres in which he is applying technical aspects of aquaculture of carps and from the last three years working on the element of aquaculture technology for Pangas fish. He is also producing quality fish seeds in a hatchery inside his farm and transporting those to adjacent areas Fish farmers Fish dissection was performed on-site by the students under the practical part of the course anatomy and physiology of finfish. Each student dissected fish to evaluate buccopharyngeal modification in different types of carp and the separation of different parts of internal fish anatomy for identification.
• Dolphin PG College (DPGC), Fatehgarh Sahib, hosted a national workshop on organic farming. Hansali Organic Farmer Mr Sukhchain Singh Gill Village Hansali Sahib FGS had an interactive session with Agriculture Students. Organic farming is not a new concept in India; it has been practised since ancient times. It is a farming system that focuses on cultivating the land and raising crops in such a way that organic wastes (crop, animal and farm wastes, aquatic wastes) and other biological materials, as well as beneficial microbes (biofertilizers), are used to release nutrients to crops for increased sustainable production in an environmentally friendly, pollution-free environment.
• Dolphin PG College (DPGC), Fatehgarh Sahib, hosted a Beekeeping Workshop and Training for B.SC Agriculture students. Beekeeping (or apiculture) is the practice of people keeping bee colonies, usually in man-made hives. Honey bees of the genus Apis are the most common; however other honey-producing bees like Melipona stingless bees are also kept. A beekeeper (also known as an apiarist) keeps bees to collect honey and other products produced by the hive (such as beeswax, propolis, flower pollen, bee pollen, and royal jelly), fertilize crops, or create bees for sale to other beekeepers.
• In conjunction with the Horticulture Department of Punjab Dist: Fatehgarh Sahib (Punjab), Dolphin PG College (DPGC) conducted a Mushroom Production Training Camp for B.Sc/M.Sc Agriculture Students. In India, the government encourages mushroom farming by incentivizing farmers who grow mushrooms because this firm does not pollute the environment. As a result, many growers are interested in mushroom growing and are earning millions of dollars from this agricultural business strategy. You can quickly start this farming mushroom at home with little money, space, or time and make a lot of money in a short period of time. Rather than striving for a large-scale firm, one might be started on a modest scale.
• Under the supervision of Dr Bhupinderjit Kaur (HOD), Dr Surabhi Mishra, and Ms Palak Baweja, Department of Zoology & Fisheries Sciences, the Dolphin PG College of Science and Agriculture organized a wildlife educational tour. The purpose of this excursion was to learn about wildlife and how to manage it, as it is part of the university curriculum. Students from the M.Sc zoology program (semesters 2 and 4) were taken to the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve (National Park) in Rajasthan to accomplish this goal.
