About DAIT

Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology admissions to B.Tech courses are based on KCET scores. The key dates for KCET 2024 have been announced by KEA. The provisional answer key has been released on April 29, 2024, and the period for raising objections will start from April 30 to May 7, 2024. The final answer key is tentatively set to be released on May 10, 2024, followed by the announcement of results on May 20, 2024.

M.H. Jayaprakash Narayan founded the Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (DAIT), Bengaluru, in 1980. The Institute is connected with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, and is recognized and certified by the AICTE and NBA. It is named after Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The NAAC has given the Institution an 'A' grade. In the National Institutional Ranking Framework, the Institution ranks 163. (NIRF). The Institute provides graduate, postgraduate, and doctorate programs in all fields. Academic autonomy was granted by the University Grants Commission in New Delhi in 2010, allowing the Institution to design its curriculum, exams, and degree issuing procedures.

The Panchajanya Vidya Peetha Welfare Trust (PVPWT) oversees Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (DAIT), one of the Trust's 22 educational institutes. The late Sri M.H. Jayaprakash Narayan worked tirelessly for advancement in the early phases. The story is being carried on by the PVPWT, which is made up of brilliant technocrats, engineers, educators, and philanthropists. The campus is stretched out on the outer ring road near Jnana Bharathi Campus, Mallathahalli, Bengaluru. Hostels, a canteen, a library, well-ventilated classrooms, and high-tech laboratories are all housed in separate buildings. The most up-to-date equipment, drawing rooms, a data center, an indoor sports complex, outdoor playgrounds, and a gymnasium can all be found here. These buildings have a total built-up area of 39619 square meters. There are 83,373 books in the library, with 20,843 titles, 13,913 e-books, and 8611 full-text e-journals. DELNET also provides access to 114 national and online journals. Boys and girls can stay at the hostels, which have a capacity of 732 boys and 387 females, respectively. In addition to BMTC services, a transportation facility is available for staff and students from various sections of the city. The Syndicate Bank has a captive vouch on campus that caters to the requirements of personnel and students.

The Institute has implemented an 'Outcome Based Education' (OBE) system and hands-on learning. Every program's curriculum is developed to achieve inclusivity through multidisciplinary courses and sustainable technology and to suit the program's specific objectives. For the benefit of the students, some courses such as ARM Processors, MEMS, Smart Sensors, Intellectual Property Rights, and inter-departmental electives such as Internet of Things (IoT), Web Design, Elements of Solar Engineering, Nano Technology, and Operations Research have been introduced. Students are encouraged to work on projects with students from other programs and across disciplines. According to the mission, several industry-based laboratories have been established, and industry-prescribed electives are taught to strengthen the relationship between the Institute and the industries. AICTE, DST, DRDO, VTU, and other recognized financial agencies support various research programs. To support the creative research activities, many research instruments and equipment have been purchased.

The Institution employs 532 staff, including 256 faculty, 137 technical employees, and 140 administrative personnel. Every year, the number of people involved in R&D, consulting, and industry-institute collaboration increases. Furthermore, a positive relationship with the Entrepreneurship Network has aided the establishment of private enterprise in students. Faculty Development Programs, Industrial Visits, Workshops, Seminars, Conferences, and other academic events are held to address the needs of faculty, staff, and students.

Every graduate hopes to be hired by a reputable company. The Training and Placement Cell does an excellent job on this. Training programs on-campus aid in developing relationships with firms that come to the college to recruit qualified candidates by assessing their employability skills. 45 enterprises that visit the university translate academic intellectuality into worthwhile employment. The pre-placement training provided by the Placement cell, as well as the curriculum developed to prepare students for rigorous interviews, are extremely beneficial to prospective students. Some of the major firms that come to test and hire students are TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, IBM, Intel, Mindtree, Wipro, and others.

Many UG, PG, and Ph.D. students receive scholarships to support their academic performance from many sources. Alumni of the university also participate on various occasions to recall happy memories and to demonstrate their support for the Institution with significant donations. For academic purposes, training, internships, projects, and research, the Institution has Memorandums of Understanding with reputable Multi-National Companies and Universities. Patents are the Institution's icing on the cake. The World Bank-supported institution, which is part of the TEQIP program, is particularly supportive of all academic endeavors and infrastructure development. The Institution also encourages students to participate in national and international events, conferences, sports, cultural activities, and project presentations.

Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology Placements

The college's Career Guidance and Placement Cell provides students with advice and assistance to help them accomplish their career aspirations. Its goal is to make every DAIT placement a great success. The unit takes appropriate measures to assess current industry expectations and prepare our students to meet them. In addition to the standard academic programs, adequate focus is placed on aptitude and soft skill development.

The Career Guidance and Placement Cell's mission is to give students with job options and market-ready training. Our schools provide students with education, research, and connections to corporations, with a track record of very effective ties with corporations of all sizes, from startups to mature, successful enterprises. The Institute's Career Guidance and Placement Cell is in charge of campus placement for our Institution's graduating students. At every level of the placement process, the Cell gives entire support to the visiting firms. In addition, the Cell is responsible for ensuring that the testing halls, pre-placement talks, written tests, interviews, and group discussions meet the needs of the visiting firms.

Placements are a barometer of a management institute's performance and reflect the Institution's success and growth. The placement cell's goal is to facilitate the placement process and ensure that every eligible student has a chance to work in the industry. Our goal is for our students to receive 80-90 percent placement aid from the Cell. We work hard to place our students with leading companies in their fields of study. Students are put in organizations based on their interests and skills, which the organizations determine. This allows them to work while simultaneously increasing their creativity and innovation in the advancement of technology and the organization.

Some of the functions of the Cell are:

  • Provides comprehensive training: Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (DAIT), Bengaluru, provides final-year students with a 40-hour rigorous pre-placement training program focused on all aspects of the interview process, including aptitude, group discussion, HR interview, verbal, resume building, and so on, and a 20-hour training program on a particular subject. Furthermore, Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (DAIT) has implemented a long-term training program that begins in the first year and is integrated into their regular academic schedule.
  • Students are given internships opportunities: Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (DAIT) identifies firms looking for interns and connects them with our students. Some internships are also turned into full-time positions.
  • Organize an interactive seminar with leading industrial innovators: This is to bridge the gap between the needs of students and those of the company. Students can learn more about the industry and how they fit into it. They communicate and ask questions, gaining a better knowledge of how they should prepare.
  • Throughout the year, invites large corporations to participate in recruitment: Every student is given the opportunity to compete with as many companies as feasible until two offers are received. TCS, Wistron, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Wipro, and other mass recruiters are invited to secure a spot for as many students as possible. Following that, the student can interview for the dream company of their choosing. Companies have offered packages ranging from CTC 3lac/annum to CTC 25lac/annum in the past year. This year, we anticipate a rise in the number of companies visiting.
  • Provide pupils with information about higher education options: Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (DAIT), Bengaluru, provides Higher Education Guidance, which encourages them to enroll in reputable universities within India and abroad for their higher education. The professors are mostly encouraging and engaging which makes attending their classes very worthwhile while a few professors are overtly strict and often racist towards students from other states and cultures. Often some professors would skip classes and loiter around canpus drinking tea and chatting having zero respect for students time and money they paid for education. The college also rarely gives information on time and students are often informed of certain changes at the last minute,Information circulation is basically non-existant unless you yourself or other students invest hours of your time into gathering and spreading it which should be the the university's job and no effort for improvement seems to be a priority.
