This collaboration aims to conduct and promote short-term courses in filmmaking, television production, and allied technical fields, providing structured training and certification programs to talented content creators from across Maharashtra. The initiative is expected to unlock employment opportunities and promote Maharashtra’s iconic filming locations, particularly benefiting students from rural areas. The MoU was signed in the presence of key officials, including the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, and reflects a strategic effort to integrate FTII’s academic expertise with MFSCDCL’s infrastructure and outreach capabilities.

Foundation Course in Screen Acting at Mewar University - The Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, in collaboration with Mewar University, announces the Foundation Course in Screen Acting from 18 August to 11 October 2025. The course will be held at Maharana Pratap Hall, Mewar University Campus, Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. The course is designed for participants aged 18 and above, with a maximum of 24 participants accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The course fee is Rs 55,000, which is non-refundable and non-transferable. Participants will receive a participation certificate upon successful completion of the course, with a minimum attendance of 90% required. Overall: Getting an opportunity to kickstart your film career as a screenwriter in the present Indian Film Industry is quite rare, but FTII is that one gateway which provides a true heaven for aspirants who wants to make it big in their artistic endeavours. Teachers and the entire staff have a very polite way of teaching as well as understanding every student's needs. Department HODs are quite encouraging to every student who wants to learn and grow. All the teachers communicate with excellent English and Hindi language but are also well equipped with local languages also to create a better understanding connection with students.
