About Future Institute of Technology
Future Institute of Technology or FIT Kolkata was founded in 2014. The FIT campus is located just 2 km from Garia main bus stand and Kavi-Nazrul metro station in Kolkata, West Bengal. It is managed by Future Education and Research Trust. Future Institute of Technology, Kolkata is affiliated with MAKAUT (Maulana Abul Azad University of Technology), West Bengal and approved by AICTE (All Indian Council of Technical Education).

Applications for FIT Kolkata admission are invited from candidates who have passed their class 12 examination from a recognised board. In addition, JEE Mains entrance exam scores are required for admission. The application fee for Future Institute of Technology Kolkata is Rs 500. The application fee payments are to be made either in cash or through Demand Draft, drawn in favour of ‘FUTURE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY”, payable at Kolkata, And to be deposited at the collection counter of the Institution through the deposit form specified for the purpose.
Future Institute Of Technology Kolkata Admission Process 2024
Every year, registration for the Future Institute of Technology, Kolkata admissions for B.Tech courses begins in May. Candidates who are interested in a particular course can apply online.
- B.Tech admission at FIT is based on the JEE Main/ WBJEEB entrance exams.
- Once the Entrance exams are out, qualified candidates with valid scores can apply for admission to the FIT B.Tech course for the desired specialisation.
- Admission will be allotted after attending the centralised counselling process.
- Lateral entry admissions are also available for the B.Tech program. The eligibility is a diploma after grade 10, i.e., 10+3.
- For BCA Course , candidates passed in Class 10+2 ( any Stream) can apply for admission.

Candidates can be up to date with the status of the application forms by logging in to the FIT online admission Portal. Once accepted, based on merit and seat availability in the Institution, candidates are sent an admission letter digitally that has to be submitted at the college.

- The candidate has to contact the college counter at the Future Institute of Technology office to collect the application form by submitting the application fee either by demand draft or in cash (the amount to be paid as an application fee will be as suggested by the Central Selection Committee).
- After collecting the form, the applicants have to submit the form to the FIT admission counter with the balance fee, including admission fee, tuition fee, and security fee, within three days (for Kolkata candidates) and within seven days (for outstation candidates).
- Then, students have to deposit the remaining balance through challan, which can also be collected from the college admission counter and has to attach to the FIT admission application form and all the required documents.
- The remaining fee amount must be deposited only by D.D. or in cash. The D.D. should be drawn in favour of the “Future Institute of Technology” payable at Kolkata.
- The FIT admission process will be completed with the help of college officials.
