Government Law College (GLC), Madurai LL.B. Admission 2024

Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination under 10+2 pattern with not less than 45% of marks which is recognized by the syndicate as equivalent to Higher Secondary Examination of the Government of Tamil Nadu, are eligible for admission. 

For S.C./S.T. candidates concession of 5% marks in the minimum of marks required for admission for B.L. 5 year Degree Course of study as prescribed in the regulations will be given.

A candidate who has passed the B.L. Degree Examination and has secured not less than 50% of the aggregate marks in all the Three Years of the Three Year B.L. Degree Course or in all Five Years of the Five Year B.L. Degree Course together, as the case may be, shall be eligible to apply for the M.L. Degree Course. However a relaxation of 5% is given to the candidates belong in to SC/ST communities.

The candidate is required to complete some basic formalities (register online, upload documents, pay a minimum amount of fee, clear entrance test/interview if applicable) to confirm the seat in any programme subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria. An eight-digit provisional registration number will be generated and will be shared on registered mobile number and email-id of the candidate, indicating the confirmation of seat. One can also visit the University campus on any working day from 9 am to 5 pm to complete the admission process.

The Government Law College (GLC), Madurai does not provide its own hostel facility. However, students can find accommodation at certain private hostels that are at a close distance from the college. Several paying guest (PG) arrangements are also available near the college campus. However, at the time of admission to the Government Law College college, no candidate can be assured of the accommodation in the hostel.

Dear Student,

To get admission in ML (Property Law) at Government Law College, Madurai an aspirant must possess either BA BL or BL degree with a minimum aggregate of 45% in each semester of the qualifying course. No age limit is set by the college. After meeting the eligibility criteria of ML, a candidate must fill the application form before the last date prescribed by the college.

The admission form of Government Law College, Madurai can only be filled via offline mode. Candidates either have to get an application by post from the college or must visit the college campus. Once the registration is over, the admission process will be conducted where the applicants will be shortlisted based on merit in the qualifying exam. No entrance exam is conducted for admission in ML (Property Law) at Government Law College.
