The CUET results 2022 has been released on Sep 16, 2022. 5,22,092 out of the 90 participating universities' registered applicants for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2022 have chosen to forego taking the UG level national entrance test. About 35% of the applicants didn't take the test.
In all, 14,90,293 candidates enrolled to take the national level test, but only 9,68,201 actually showed up, according to the official statistics issued along with the CUET UG result 2022.

Only 4,29,228 of the 6,60,333 female test takers who had registered, took the exam. Female applicants who missed the exam thus represent 35% of the total. Only 5,38,965 of the 8,29,965 male applicants who were enrolled for the CUET UG 2022 elected to sit for the test. This indicates that almost 35% of candidates in the male category, as well, chose not to take the CUET UG 2022.
Additionally, only 8 of the total 17 third gender applicants who had enrolled for the exam (or little over 50%) actually showed up. In 259 Indian cities and 10 places outside of India, the test was given in 13 languages. The test, known as CUCET until 2021, was required for entrance to about 20 central institutions. However, starting in 2022, CUET will be used to grant admission to UG and PG programmes at a number of universities, including JNU, DU, BHU, Allahabad University, and others (which previously had their own entrance tests).
