The IIE library was established in the year 1977 and it was named after the institute’s former Chairman Shri. N.P. Samant.. It is housed in a spacious area within the campus, measuring to 1750 sq. ft. and has a rich collection of over 30000 publications including books, bound volumes, thesis/dissertations, periodicals, reports, government documents related to social sciences. Rare collection or books and articles written by eminent educationist, Evan Ellich and Prof. J.P. Naik are among the pride possessions of the library. As the N. P. Samant Library is a depository library of UNESCO, it periodically receives books published by UNESCO and these are made available to its users. The reference section of this library consists of encyclopedias and dictionaries of social sciences, psychology, education, religion, census reports (bound volumes and CD Roms) and yearbooks. The library is widely used by students, research scholars and teaching staff from various institutions and even staff from different NGOs.
