IIT Gandhinagar admission 2024 is currently ongoing. Students willing to get admission to the BTech programme shall appear for JEE Main 2024 exam which will be held from April 4 - April 15, 2024. However, to get a seat at BTech programme, they have to qualify the JEE Advanced exam. JEE Main is merely a qualifying examination for JEE Advanced. The JEE Advanced 2024 will be held on May 26. On the other hand, GATE 2024 is scheduled for February 3, 4, 10, and 11, 2024 for MTech admission at IIT Gandhinagar.

IIT Gandhinagar Application Process for Admission 2024

The institute offers various courses to students in engineering, technology and science disciplines such as B.Tech, M.Tech, P.G.D, M.Sc., PhD programs and M.A. also. 

To get IIT Gandhinagar admission in B.Tech, students should clear the cutoff of JEE Advanced and appear for the JoSAA counselling for allotment of seats for the required course according to their choices. Postgraduate course admission seekers need to have a valid GATE/JAM score depending on the course. For IIT Gandhinagar admission to PG courses, a written test and interview are conducted by the institute. Cut-offs for different courses can vary each year. Click on the “Apply Now” button to access the online portal. But new users need to first register using a valid email id and phone number. 

Submit Application.

Once registered, students should log in and fill out the required information. Students will also have to upload the following documents as attachments:

Curriculum vitae (single PDF file, maximum limit 2 MB)

Scanned transcripts/grade cards for all courses taken during undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs (single PDF file, maximum limit 10 MB)

Scanned certificates for all degrees received (single PDF file, maximum limit 10 MB)

Certificate of SC/ST/OBC/PwD, if applicable (single PDF file, maximum limit 1 MB)

Payments have to be made by Net Banking, Credit Cards, Debit Cards & Demand Draft.

B.Tech Selection Process

IIT Gandhinagar’s B.Tech selection process for admission is based on scores secured in JEE Advanced entrance examination conducted by NTA followed by a counselling session.

M.Tech Selection Process

IIT Gandhinaga’s M.Tech selection process for the admission of the aspirants involves the following:

• All the candidates satisfying the eligibility criteria are selected for personal interviews and counselling.
• Admission will be granted based on the candidate’s performance in the GATE followed by CCMT.

M. Sc Selection Process:

IIT Gandhinagar’s M. Sc selection process is as follows:

• The candidates are asked for a personal interview. 
• The candidates are then given admission according to the seat availability and reservation category, and the candidate's overall performance.

PhD Selection Process:

IIT Gandhinagar’s PhD selection process requirements for admission of the candidates in the course are stated below:

• A shortlisting of applications will be made by the respective departments based on the PhD application and documents submitted (online) and only the short-listed candidates will be intimated for the admission test and viva (online) on the notified date.

Admission to the MA in Society and Culture is based on an entrance exam and an interview. Admission to the program is not guaranteed if you do not meet the minimum application criterion. Students who are awaiting final semester/year results, as well as those who will complete a Bachelor's degree this year, are also eligible to apply. The Supreme Court will determine the eligibility requirements for SC/ST/OBC candidates. The applications will be shortlisted based on their overall credentials (grades in the bachelor's program, academic achievements, aptitude for studying society and culture, and so on). The above-mentioned eligibility criteria are minimum expectations, and the Institute Authority may use higher cut-off levels for shortlisting.
