The campus has an open gym as well. Students with previous sports background are encouraged to prepare for Inter- IIT sports meet. They can also get training at Jammu city sports complex / through the coach. Being on the foothills of Himalayas, IIT Jammu encourages various trekking activities and adventure sports.
