IIT Jammu Latest Updates
IIT Delhi has announced that the IIT JAM 2025 results will be released today, March 18, 2025, at the JOAPS portal. Candidates can download their scorecards by logging into their registered accounts. The scorecard will include the marks obtained, AIR Rank (overall and category-wise), and the JAM 2025 cut-off. The result is valid for the 2025-26 academic session. The scorecard will be available for download from March 24 to July 31, 2025, for qualified candidates. To check results, visit the official website and follow the steps outlined.
IIT JAM 2025 results will be declared on March 19, 2025 (tentatively) by IIT Madras. The results will be available on the JOAPS portal. The anticipated cut-off marks are subject to category and subject, such as Biotechnology (GEN - 42), Chemistry (GEN - 27), Mathematics (GEN - 13), and Physics (GEN - 20) among others. It will be on merit basis, and clearing the cut-off makes one more probable for getting a seat in IITs, NITs, and other colleges.
JoSAA counselling of JEE Main and JEE Advanced 2025 will start on June 3. The applicants who are looking to get admission into IITs, NITs, IIITs, IIEST, and GFTIs need to register on josaa.nic.in. There are five rounds of seat allotment, fee submission, and document verification involved in the process. The approximate timeline is from June to July, and vacant seats will be managed by CSAB.
IIT Delhi has uploaded the IIT JAM 2025 Answer Key and Student Response Sheet on the JOAPS portal. Candidates can login at jam2025.iitd.ac.in to download them. Objections against the provisional answer key can be submitted from February 14 to February 20, 2025. The IIT JAM 2025 results will be announced on March 19, 2025.
IIT Delhi will announce the IIT JAM 2025 answer key on today at jam2025.iitd.ac.in. Students can verify the section-wise marking scheme and match their answers with the answer key. The response sheet and details of the result will also be published soon on the official website.
The IIT JAM 2025 exam has been conducted with great success on February 2, 2025, in two shifts. The answer key might be published in the second week of February, and the final answer key will come out in the first week of March. Results are declared to be released on March 19, 2025. Exam difficulty varies subject-wise.

IIT Jammu admission criteria for UG courses at Indian Institute of Technology Jammu requires students to be 12th pass or have an equivalent degree from any recognised Board along with a valid score in the JEE Advanced. IIT Jammu Application Process 2025
The application process at the Indian Institute of Technology Jammu starts with filling out the admission form online. Students are advised to check their eligibility and selection criteria before form filing.
UG Programmes
- The IIT Jammu application process for UG courses is done on the basis of Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE Advanced) rank which then is administered by the Joint Admission Board (JAB) with a centralised counselling process which is conducted by JoSAA at the all-India level in which candidates are allowed to choose the institution and course of their choice. Then, based on their rank in JEE Advanced and the availability of the seats, admission is granted.
PG Programmes
- The application process is done on the basis of GATE and IIT JAM rank for Mtech and MSc courses respectively. When the result of entrance exams are out, candidates can apply for the same on IIT Jammu admission portal. Students, besides filling up the application form of IIT Jammu, are required to register at COAP. All participating institutes of National Importance publish seat allotment results on this portal only. Once they are granted admission in the institution of their choice, candidates need to follow the college website for further updates regarding physical reporting and fee payment.
PhD Programmes
- The admission to PhD programmes at IIT Jammu is done based on UGC/ CSIR NET (JRF) examination/ SET/ GATE/ Teacher Research Fellowship scores. Candidates are required to follow the following process for IIT Jammu PhD admission:

- Click on PhD admission
- Register yourself with a valid phone number and email ID
- Login to the portal with credentials sent to your email id
- Fill out the IIT Jammu application form accordingly as asked

IIT Jammu Scholarships
Indian Institute of Technology Jammu scholarships are provided through the Government of India’s Department of Social Justice and Empowerment to economically disadvantaged students from the OBC, SC, ST, and Minority categories. The institution offers 3 kinds of scholarships for B.Tech students. These are:
- Merit Cum Means Scholarship
- Freeship
- Free Messing
Merit Cum Means Scholarship
Through Merit Cum Means Scholarships at IIT Jammu, the tuition fee of eligible students is 100% refundable and also students get Rs 1000 per month. Below is the eligibility criteria to avail this scholarship:
- The MCM scholarship is available for General, OBC-NCL and EWS Category students only.
- For the first year students the JEE Advanced Rank is considered for determining the merit for scholarship.
- For 2nd, 3rd and 4th year students, the SGPA & CGPA each should be more than 6.0 and with total backlog courses less than 2 is considered as eligibility criteria for MCM scholarship.
- The Gross Annual Income of the family should be less than Rs 4.50 Lakh.
Free Messing Scholarship
All the students belonging to SC and ST category at IIT Jammu are exempted from paying tuition fees each semester as part of this IIT Jammu scholarship scheme. The facility of free messing and a pocket allowance of Rs 250 per month is also released for each Semester. Below is the eligibility criteria to avail this scholarship:
- The Gross Annual Income of the family should be less than Rs 4.50 Lakh.
Freeship Scholarship
According to the freeship scholarship at IIT Jammu, students are eligible for remission of tuition fee. Below is the eligibility criteria to avail this scholarship:
- The freeship scholarship is available to General, OBC-NCL and EWS Category students only who are exempted from other scholarships
- For the first-year students the JEE Advanced Rank is considered for determining the merit for scholarship.
- For 2nd, 3rd and 4th-year students, the SGPA & CGPA each should be more than 6.0 and with total backlog courses less than 2 is considered as eligibility criteria for MCM scholarship.
- The Gross Annual Income of the family should be between Rs 1 lakh to Rs 4.50 lakh to avail of this IIT Jammu scholarship.
The PhD students at IIT Jammu are granted stipends/scholarships in accordance with the MHRD regulations. The stipend in the first two years of the PhD Degree is Rs 31,000 per month while for the senior years, the student stipend for PhD fellows is Rs 35,000 per month. To be eligible for this student stipend, any UG/ PG student has to put in specified hours of academic work under a professor/supervisor. Only after the submission of a certificate, verified by the allocated supervisor, the scholarship is to be paid, attesting to the satisfactory performance of the allocated responsibilities.
