Admission to IIIT Pune is based on a candidate’s performance in JEE Main. The candidate must satisfy certain eligibility conditions to secure a seat in any undergraduate courses. The institute announces IIIT Pune admissions after the declaration of JEE Mains results. Indian Institute of Information Technology Pune admission process is similar to that of other IIITs, NITs and IITs. It follows the counselling method formulated by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) and Centralized Seat Allocation Board (CSAB). Admissions to IIIT Pune are made strictly based on the student’s performance in the national entrance exam for engineering, Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains. JoSAA Mock Allotment is conducted before the actual seat allocation at IIIT Pune. Mock Allotment helps candidates to know their chances in their desired colleges based on their rank and preference. After knowing this, candidates can modify their choices of colleges and courses accordingly.
