  • There will be an English Major Selection Test (EMST), preferably held at least 5 (five) days before the date of admission to the BA 1st Semester course.
  • The criteria for selection to the English Major course will consist of three elements; viz- a) EMST performance (60%), b) aggregate marks in 10 + 2 examination (20%), and c) Marks in English in the 
    10 + 2 examination (20%).
  • The EMST will consist of a single paper of 60 marks.
  • Only candidates having 60% marks in aggregate and 70% marks in English at the 10 + 2 examination will be eligible to sit for the EMST.

Dear Student,

The cutoff details of JB Johart College are not available at the moment. However, the subject-wise qualifying marks required in Class 12th to get admission in B.Sc Botany are as follows -

Name of the Subject Marks Required in Class 12th
Biology 60%
Chemistry 55%
English 45%

The college will prepare a merit list on the basis of marks obtained in the above three subjects. The total marks scored in each subject will be aggregated and an average score will be derived to prepare the merit list. Therefore, cutoff marks are not the same every year.
