In August 1950, the Jangipur College Murshidabad was established. Jangipur College is a 5.05-acre campus in the Murshidabad district of West Bengal. NSS: The college has a boys-only NSS unit that engages in a range of outreach initiatives, such as village surveys, awareness programmes, and campaigns to raise awareness. In order to create an eco-friendly environment, it has removed all plastic from the college and planted medicinal plants.

Equal Opportunity Centre: This centre's main goal is to protect the privileges and needs of the college's minority and non-creamy layered students. Additionally, it arranges conferences, workshops, and awareness-raising campaigns on a variety of topics, such as gender equality and the abolition of sociocultural norms that uphold the evils of exclusion.

Entry in Service Cell: This cell advises and instructs SC/ST/OBC & Minority students primarily on the WBSSC exam. Teachers at the college conduct classes to help students prepare for the WBSSC examinations by offering career counselling, information on etiquette and grooming, practical computer skills, and basic spoken English inputs.

Remedial Classes: This cell offers extra assistance in areas of academics that are syllabi-focused primarily to the weaker SC/ST/OBC & Minority students. Teachers give these students extra lessons and study materials in an effort to improve their comprehension and increase their competitiveness.
