This temple of higher education is situated in a sprawling land surrounded by an idyllic and a verdant ambience in the lap of a fur flung picturesque landscape unperturbed by industrial noise and nuisance. The generations of students it delivered to the society are continually boosting up the prestige and power of this temple of education.
Kaliyaganj College has three double-storied spectacular wings. The East Wing consists Principal’s Chamber, Staff Room, NAAC - Conference Room, Room for Bursar, Office Room, Girls’ Common Room, Botany, Zoology and Geography Laboratories and eight class rooms of different sizes and separate lavatories for each section.
The West Wing has a spacious library with reading room, one Laboratory for Mathematics and Computer Science, one Computer Training Center, one Museum, one allotted room for Career Oriented Programme and nine class rooms including one big auditorium like room specially built for holding seminars, symposia and conferences and also few lavatories in each floor.
In continuation of the endeavour to make the premises naturally rich, these two wings are constructed with a fascinating lawn flanked by four small flower gardens. In between them two magnificent entrances are there.
The third annex building is Science Building, which is adjacent to the East Wing of the Institution. It consists of Physics and Chemistry Laboratories and two big size class rooms in each floor for organizing theoretical classes.
Boys’ Hostel
The Boys’ hostel situated to the north end corner of the college. It can accommodate 20 male students only. A hostel superintendent takes care of the boarders in the hostel.
Women’s Hostel
The college has received an approval of Rs 99,12,593/= under the UGC special scheme for Womens’ Hostel. An amount of Rs. 49,56,297/= of this scheme has already been received and utilized by the college and the construction work is in proces
The College has organized a club for the purpose of increasing ecological and environmental resources in and around the locality. Students are invited to get membership of this club by contributing a minimum subscription for their valuable participation in this innovative activity.
Blood Donation camps and different programmes for awareness of ecological and environmental problems are regularly organized. The Eco Club inspires the students to make a lush green campus of the college. Besides making flower gardens, the eco club goes on a planting sapling over the years.
