The campus of LPU houses 5 playgrounds (157062 Sqm) adjacent to boys hostels and girls hostels provide immediate access to cricket grounds, football grounds, hockey grounds, basketball courts, boxing rings, volleyball courts, skating zone, etc.LPU has one of the biggest Infrastructure in India with a campus area of more than 600 acres. LPU students will represent the nation in Wrestling, Hockey, Athletics (Javelin Throw and Sprinting) and Paralympics. Neeraj chopra won gold medal, Bajrag Punia won bronze in wrestling, Indian men hockey team had 8 LPU students won bronze medal. LPU believes in all round development of its students so equal importance is given to academics as well as sports here. Sports persons are also provided with scholarships. It also has the Shanti Devi Mittal Indoor Stadium here has multifarious facilities under one roof which include 6 Squash Courts, 1 Basketball Court, 3 Volleyball Courts, 12 Badminton Courts, 1 Shooting Range (25 Lane), 3 Swimming Pools, 1 Fully equipped Gym, Weightlifting Room, Chess Room, Yoga Room, and Aerobics room, Taekwondo arena, etc. Eleven students from Lovely Professional University have been selected as a part of the Indian contingent that will represent the country at the Tokyo Olympics 2020, scheduled to be held from 23rd July to 8th August 2021. The players will represent the nation in Wrestling, Hockey Athletics and Paralympics. This is the highest number of students ever to get selected to any Indian Olympic contingent, from an Indian Private University. Means hockey team captain Manpreet Singh, who is an LPU student, will be India's Flag Bearer for the Opening Ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics. Six other\ players of the Indian Means Hockey Team are LPU students. LPU students will represent the nation in Wrestling, Hockey, Athletics (Javelin Throw and Sprinting) and Paralympics.
