Khalisani College takes pride in associating our students in community service. The Hooghly District Volunteer Blood Donors association was actually initiated from our college. We endorse, encourage and promote our students in community service. The newly revived NSS unit at our college has started to act in the same vigour and agility which was our trademark in the whole of Burdwan University.
The works with which NSS are engaged are as follows:
A neighbouring Village, Ruidas Para which is 3.5 km away from our college, has been adopted by the NSS Units of the college.
Sending relief material to flood affected areas of Chennai through Bharat Sevasram Sangha.
NSS unit plans to associate community network programmes in collaboration with Zila Parishad at Bilkuli.
Community Orientation activities are reflected through Blood Donation Camps.
NSS students regularly arrange health and environment awareness camps.
NSS volunteers now engage with themselves the philosophy of 'Each one teaches one'.
NSS volunteers are actively working on successful implementation of The Gender championship program.
NSS Unit has at its head our Principal Dr. Nepankar Hazra as Chairman and Prof. Priyaranjan Sarkar from the Dept. of History as the Program Officer. The statutory advisory committee consists of the following members:
