Overall: It's a good college when it comes to brand name , placement wise it can be said as decent because it gets advantage of being in the middle of city like mumbai. Fees is expensive which should be taken care of , and the batch size is also an issue ,other than that curriculum is very smooth and doesn't creates much pressure yet gives the learning. There are various live project opportunities throughout the year. Accommodation is also an issue , as hostel is not for everyone also expensive.
Placement: Average of 11-12 lpa ,with suite a lot company options, since the batch size is large getting High paying package is issue here , but getting a placement is not a big task
Infrastructure: It's one of the largest campus in Mumbai as it has whole University at same campus with other courses too, fir mba classrooms are bit less compared to batch size , college has 2-3 god auditoriums and facility for all sports .
Overall: I would like to go back and live that time always and forever, and the experience is good.Events were great in this college. It was a great developmental phase for me.
Placement: The average salary package offered was 8 LPA. For marketing, top roles mostly were into the sales side followed by branding and marketing. Advertising and media management roles were very few. Viacom18, Mckinsey, Salesforce, GoDigit, Axis Bank, etc., were the companies to watch out for. Around 70-80% of students got internships because students themselves opt-out mostly.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi was slow but manageable. Laboratories and libraries were resourceful enough. The food in the hostel was very inconsistent and seems distasteful a lot of times. The morning and evening snacks were always the ones to watch out for. The medical facilities were decent however no emergency and medical facilities were available. Somaiya has always been widely involved in sports and games, and hence, the college offers ample opportunities for it.
Faculty: Semester exams were a good test of students' learning and allow them to judge themselves fairly. The pass percentage was around 35-40% out of 100.The teacher's are very friendly.
Hostel: College Hostel clean and comfortable accommodations, secure facilities, a friendly atmosphere, and reasonable prices. Additionally, amenities like communal spaces, Wi-Fi, and helpful staff contribute to a positive hostel experience.
