The candidates aspiring to get admission in KEC, Erode should have passed 10+2 from a recognized university with 50% marks with English, Physics, Chemistry and mathematics as a core subjects. Candidates seeking admission in B.Tech course at KEC, Erode must apply for centralized and online counseling process known as TNEA(Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) by visiting the TNEA official website. The candidates must enter certain details to register for the counselling process . After submission of all details; login ID and password will be generated. TNEA application fee can be paid online using credit/debit card/ internet banking which is Rs. 250 for reserved category and Rs. 500 for general category.
If the candidates do not have an internet connection, they can visit the facilitation centre to submit the application form for counseling and can also pay the application fee to the officer . The list of facilitation centers can be checked on TNEA website.
Once counseling fee payment is done, TNEA application form will be activated where candidates have to fill his/her academic and personal details. After filling and verifying all the details, candidates have to submit the application form and can take the printout of it for future use.A random number will be generated after submission of application which should be checked at the printout of the application form taken.
After successfully submitting the application form, candidates must visit the facilitation centre with all the required documents for certificates verification.
TNEA authority will release the merit list after certificate verification .The shortlisted candidates have to log on to TNEA website to fill the option entry form.The candidate looking for admission in Kongu Engineering College must fill it as his/her first preference. The selection process for M.E/M.Tech/MBA/MCA in Kongu Engineering College, Erode is based on entrance exam GATE/TANCET. The candidates who have a valid GATE score can appear directly in TANCET counseling process but the candidates who have a valid GATE score with qualifying marks in Engineering Science (XE) and Life Science (XL), they have to appear for TANCET exam also.
The candidates who are interested in taking admission in M.E/M.Tech/MBA/MCA course in the college of Tamil Nadu state have to appear in TANCET exam conducted by Anna University. The aspirants can visit the Anna University official website to register for TANCET exam after which login ID and password will be generated.
After completing the registration process, candidates have to log in with those credentials on Anna University website and submit the online application form of TANCET including the required details such as personal details, exam center, and course along with its application fee which is Rs. 500 for general category and Rs. 250 for SC/ST/SCA category students.
The students who have qualified TANCET can apply for counseling on official website of Anna University. The registration process of counseling must be completed online by the candidate to create a login account. Correctly asked documents and counseling fee of Rs. 5300 (Rs 1,150/- for SC / SCA / ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu) in the form of DD must be sent to the address mentioned by the conducting body.
The shortlisted candidates have to select the choice of colleges and courses online. After choice filling, candidates will report to the designated nodal centers for the verification of documents.According to the choices filled by the candidates, seats will be allotted by the authorities that will be declared online on Anna University website. Non-satisfied candidates can decline the allotment and can participate in subsequent rounds of counseling.
The candidates who are satisfied with the seat allotment are required to download their final allotment letter and report to the respective college with the required documents and pay the academic fee to join the programme.
