Overall: I completed my BA (Hons.) in History from Lovely Professional University, and I can honestly say it was a very fulfilling three-year journey. The course structure was well-planned and covered everything from ancient civilizations to modern Indian history, with plenty of opportunities for presentations, assignments, and interactive discussions. What I really liked was the exposure guest lectures, seminars, and even heritage field visits helped bring history to life beyond the classroom. The faculty was supportive and genuinely encouraged us to think critically and dig deeper into the subject. Along with academics, the campus experience at LPU was vibrant and diverse. Whether it was cultural events, clubs, or hostel life there was always something happening. There was 24x7 security, a decent mess menu, and access to laundry and common rooms. What made hostel life fun was the community students from every corner of India and abroad, all under one roof. It truly felt like a mini world inside the campus.

Overall: I pursued my BA in Political Science at Lovely Professional University and honestly, it gave me way more than I expected. Some of us even got chances to assist in faculty-led research projects, which is a solid base for postgrad or government jobs.

They taught with passion and often brought in real-world examples to connect theory with practice. What I appreciated most was their openness to dialogue. You could raise a counterpoint in class, and they would encourage it. Assignments weren’t just about grades — they pushed us to think critically and write well. I also had the chance to work on a minor research project with one of my professors, which gave me a taste of academic research.

Hostel: My three years in LPU’s hostel were honestly comfortable. The rooms are neat, well-furnished, and regularly cleaned. I stayed in a 3-seater non-AC room, which was affordable and had enough space for all of us. The Wi-Fi was decent — enough for research, YouTube, and Netflix. The mess food was hygienic and rotated every few days, and there are food courts on campus with a bunch of affordable options. I never had any safety concerns — there’s 24/7 security, CCTV surveillance, and even a health centre nearby. The hostel experience also helped me meet students from other states and even different countries, which made life more interesting and diverse.

The faculty for particularly this course is expertise in geography, GIS, remote sensing and environmental studies etc. The Faculty members are supportive, friendly and industry- aware, often guiding students in placement and research.

Hostel: The LPU hostel is having well structured room with the options of Single, Double, triple, 4- seater, 5 seater and 6 seater rooms, having high- speed wifi, study tables, wardrobe and attached bathroom. They have laundry, housekeeping and 24/7 security services. You can found both North/ South Indian, continental, and Jain options with maintaining full hygiene. The LPU hostel is having CCtV surveillance and biometric entry. They have regular cultural nights, movie screening and festival nights. The last time to come back in hostel for girls is 10 PM and for Boys is 11 PM.
