The eligibility criteria for the admission to Manipal University B.Sc programs are stated below:
Pass in 10+2 or equivalent with Biology, Chemistry, English and Physics / Biotechnology / Mathematics / any other Life Sciences subjects as an optional subject, from a recognized Board with minimum 55 % aggregate marks or equivalent, taken together in Biology, Chemistry and Physics / Biotechnology / Mathematics / any other Life Sciences subject.
Applicant should be less than 21 years of age.
Applicants from all boards including ISC, CBSE, IB and other International Boards of Examination can apply.
Passed in Class 12th examination or its equivalent.
There is no minimum cut-off score or any extracurricular achievements needed to apply.
The application process of Manipal University can be completed through both online and offline methods. The application forms for all the courses are available on the official website of Manipal University. For filling in the forms through the offline mode, the candidate must download the application form from the university website and submit it to the university admissions office.
Online Mode
The steps for filling up the Manipal University application form are mentioned below:-
Candidates must visit Manipal University's application website (www.manipal.edu/sls-manipal)
On that site, click on the Apply Online button to fillup the application form
Students will be sent to a new page where the applicant must first register for the program with their email address and mobile number.
After the registration, the candidates need to Login by using their registered email id & password.
After that, the candidate has to fill the application form with all his personal details and education qualification
In that page, the candidate must fill the school board name and marks obtained in school passing exams which will be checked later at the time documents verification.
The candidate will also be asked to upload his / her recent colour passport size photograph in .jpg or .jpeg format.
After the form has been filled up, the candidate has to click on submit. The page will direct the applicant into an online payment gateway where he/she can pay the application fees with net banking, debit card or credit card.
After the successful payment, the application is considered to be submitted successfully.

Offline Mode
The offline application form is available to download from the official website of Manipal University itself. After downloading the application form from Manipal University website for the selected program, the candidate has to take a print out of the application form and fill all the mandatory fields with credible information such as name, phone number, email address, marks obtained in previous examination etc.

Documents required for admission at Manipal University must be uploaded to the online portal, while the same original documents must be submitted at the time of admission for verification. The list of documents is as follows:

Applicants will be selected on the basis of their academic performance in the Class 12 exam. Depending on their biology & chemistry + optional subject marks, the merit list of candidates will be prepared. The names of the selected candidates will be published on the official website of the university. After that, the shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification round at the time of admission, and if any applicant is found with any incorrect information then the admission of the applicant will be cancelled immediately.
Candidates should have graduated from a recognised university in BSc (Botany / Biotechnology/ Zoology / Nutrition / Agricultural Science/ Food Science or any other branch of Life Science) / MBBS / PharmD / BDS/ BVSc / BAMS with a minimum mark of at least 50% or its equivalent qualification.

General Category: Admissions are done on the basis of rank in the All India Manipal Entrance Test (MET) 2020. Based on the candidate's performance in MET entrance test conducted by the university the seats for the M.Sc program will be filled in the Manipal University.
Foreign/NRI Category: Admissions are made on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying exam i.e. high school or any other exam equivalent to 12 years of schooling
Note: Candidates who have applied under both the General and Foreign/NRI categories will only be accepted in the General Category. And the change of the category will not be accepted in the later stage of admission under any circumstances.
Applicants must have completed a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Biotechnology/ Veterinary Science/ Agriculture / BPharm / MPharm / MBBS / BTech in Biomedical / Biotechnology / Chemical with a minimum of at least 50% marks.
In addition to this, the candidate need to appear for the KBAT entrance test conducted by the Government of Karnataka
