All graduates in the faculties of arts, law, social science, oriental studies with not less than (B Grade) 50 per cent marks and science and commerce with not less than 55% marks in aggregate for Part I and III. SC/ST candidates need only a pass in the qualifying examination. Candidates appearing for final year are eligible to apply.

SEBC candidates are eligible for a concession of 3% marks and OEC candidates are eligible for a minimum of 5% marks or its equivalent in the new grading system.
