About MKCE Karur
Founded in 2000, M. Kumarasamy College of Engineering is an autonomous institute affiliated to Anna University. It is a private institute situated in Thalavapalayam, Karur district of Tamil Nadu. M. Kumarasamy College of Engineering is accredited to NAAC and approved by AICTE. The institute is also ISO 9001: 2015 certified.
M. Kumarasamy College of Engineering offers various undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes like Bachelor of Engineering (BE), Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), Master of Engineering (ME), Master of Computer Application (MCA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA). It also offers research programmes (Ph.D) programmes in various disciplines like Physics, Chemistry, MECH, EEE, ECE and CSE.
The institute is well known for its excellent infrastructure and provides facilities for the academic as well as non- academic growth of students. The Institute provides enough space for an ultra-modern sports complex with floodlit volleyball, basketball and tennis courts. The campus houses laboratories, a computer lab with more than 2500 systems, a library with a collection of more than 57,00 books, gym and cafeteria for students.
The institute implements e-learning systems through which students can experience technology-driven interactive classroom sessions. High-speed Internet and Wi-Fi is available 24/7 within the campus. Choice-based credit system offered at the Institute facilitates students to choose courses from a list of elective courses.
Accommodation facilities are offered to both boys and girls at the M. Kumarasamy College of Engineering. Separate hostels are built that are regularly monitored through digital systems. It also provides transportation facilities to the Day scholars within 50 km around the college.
According to the Higher Education Review, M. Kumarasamy College of Engineering is ranked 3rd in the south zone among top private engineering colleges in India. It is also ranked 9th in AAA+ category, 7th in academic excellence and infrastructure in the south zone by Silicon India.
