Chayankan, Photography society of Motilal Nehru College

It all started with a dream to one day have a photography society of Motilal Nehru College and now when the dream has come true , we as a society hope that we bring honour and awards to our college. The photography society of Motilal Nehru College, 'Chayankan', initially starting with 16 members and looking forward to make it the best photography society of DU. It was started in 2012 and currently focuses on to make everyone explore and learn more of photography and let aspirant photographers seek knowledge. To us, photography is an art of observation. It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place... We've found it has little to do with the things one sees and everything to do with the way you see them. We try to capture every little detail of our lives which we generally tend to overlook. It tries to be more as a guide to students who find photography as their passion.

"It takes a lot of imagination to be a good photographer. You need less imagination to be a painter because you can invent things. But in photography everything is so ordinary; it takes a lot of looking before you learn to see the extraordinary." -David Bailey.

PHOTO WALKS

Our photographers go on weekly photo walks in an attempt to convey the essence of Delhi through our photographs. We regularly keep meetings to enhance our skills and to better our understanding of this incredible art form.

All the Chayankan photographers has now become a much grand platform inculcating Mobilegraphers, Semi-DSLR users and of course DSLR users and people with skills in post-processing. The initiative was taken on August'12 with a group of 16 people, mostly being non-DSLR users but with the passion and their dedication towards the society that the platform was made ready. A lot has been achieved and a bigger lot is yet to be achieved, come and take on this journey with us and explore the photographer within you meanwhile.

Infrastructure: The washrooms need more work as they are not that clean . The classes are good and spacious . Many new constructions have been made though. So beside that everything is okay

Hostel: We don’t have a hostel for college . Most of the students take pgs in satyaniketan or anand niketan which is very near to the college and is comfortable for them .

Dear student,

Yes, you can do that. Usually, the Best of 4 subjects should include those in which you have scored the most in your Class 12 result. If English is your first language/ medium of education, then marks obtained in that will be mandatory. But you will need to include that subject that you wish to pursue in your UG programme. For eg., say your Best of 4 subjects include - English, Agriculture, Pol. Science & Hindi, but you wish to pursue Geography (H) for UG, then it is mandatory for you to include your Class 12 Geography marks to calculate your Class 12 CGPA or percentage.

Most colleges offer admission to Agriculture courses, but given the current scenario, there are some colleges and universities that are offering admissions without an entrance exam

Having said that if you are interested in studying B. Sc in Agriculture, then you may want to explore the following colleges in Agriculture studies:

Our suggestion will be to apply to these colleges of your choice right now, as admissions are open currently. Whenever the CBSE results are out, you can take action accordingly. You can also apply to all colleges of your choice using a Single Application Form. This form allows you to apply to 500+ colleges of your choice! What's more, you can even add your shortlisted colleges and apply in one go, thus saving time, energy & money. There's a 20% discount on all applications currently, so don't lose out! Book your seat in a college of your choice immediately. Good luck!
