M.R. Govt. College, Campus Facilities - Hostel Fees, Infrastructure, Address

The central library has 24890 books and subscribes 14 journals periodicals. Three years ago 36 Lakhs was earmarked to build a library in the college. However, the finances fell short and library building is incomplete.Academic peers from the surrounding areas are invited sometime to deliver lectures and seminars and a feedback from them is sought regarding the curricula of the University. There is a compatibility of the programmes with the goals and objectives. The college prepares academic calendar of the year in the light of the university guidelines .The academic calendar is followed in letter and spirit. Student’s knowledge and skills are assessed after admission through periodical tests and house examinations. The college monitors overall performance of the students to ensure the achievement of the course objectives. Students are encouraged to participate of intra and inter college competitions like essay writing, debates, paper reading and quiz etc. The teachers also hold group discussions and quiz sessions with students. Character and personality development are emphasized in the activities. Educational tours are also organised. Selection and appointment of teachers are made in according with University / Punjab Govt. rules. For self finance courses the teachers are recruited purely on merit.
