GATE 2025 Paper-Wise Qualifying Marks: IIT Roorkee has released the GATE 2025 qualifying cutoff marks for all of the 30 exam subjects along with the release of results on March 19 via the rankcards of the candidates. This year, the GATE 2025 cutoff for the CSE paper is 35.8 marks for the open category while that for ME and ECE papers are 29.2 marks and 25 marks, respectively. Additionally, the CSE cutoff for the OBC category and SC/ST candidates are 22.5 marks and 16.6 marks. It is also important to note that the cutoff for Mathematics, EC and EE subjects is the same for the general category in GATE 2025.
GATE ES Raw Score vs Scaled Score 2024: The Environmental Science (ES) exam of GATE is conducted for 100 marks. The score that is declared out of 100 is called the ‘raw score’ while the score that is calculated out of 1000 at the time of admission is called the ‘scaled score’. The scaled score of GATE ES 2024 will play an important role in determining the merit rank of candidates for M.Tech admission in IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. While the counselling for IITs is called COAP, the counselling for NITs is called CCMT.
