The National Institute of Design Kurukshetra (NID Kurukshetra) or the National Institute of Design Haryana (NID Haryana) was founded in 2016 with the goal of becoming one of the top centres for design education and research globally. The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, established this autonomous institution. It is approved by the AICTE, the AIU, and the Government of India. The institute aims to provide the standard for innovative design movements in the business, industrial, and development sectors.
NID Haryana offers a bachelor of design (B.Des) degree that is conducted in eight semesters and lasts four years and has three specialisations, industrial design, communication design, and textile and apparel design. Admission is based on the candidate's previous academic score and also valid entrance exam marks are required for selection. The exam accepted is NID DAT (Design Aptitude Test).
