NIT Durgapur B.Tech in Chemical Engineering - Fees, Eligibility, Seats and Admission 2024

Overall: NIT Durgapur was ranked 43rd among engineering colleges in India by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2023.The National Institute of Technology, Durgapur (formerly Regional Engineering College, Durgapur), was established by an Act of Parliament in 1960 as one of the eight such colleges aimed to function as a pace setter for engineering education in the country and to foster national integration.It is a fully-funded premier.The campus of NIT Durgapur is spread over a vast area of 187 Acre, comprising of various Academic buildings, Labs, Hostels, Faculty Quarters, Playgrounds and Gardens.

Placement: Normally the placements in NITD commence in the beginning of the final year (Seventh Semester) i.e. in the month of July. Prior to this, an invitation is sent to all previous recruiters in the month of May. Along with the invitation a form is provided seeking the company profile & information ( CPI Form).

Infrastructure: The campus of NIT Durgapur is spread over 187 acres of land and is located in the city of Durgapur in West Bengal, India. The campus is well-maintained and has a number of facilities, including academic buildings, hostels, laboratories, sports facilities, and a library.18 Aug 2023

Faculty: Placements: I am from batch 2022-2026. I am pursuing mechanical engineering at NIT Durgapur, and almost 92 percent of my people get placed in many reputed companies. The average package is around INR 12 lakh. Top recruiting companies like Google, Microsoft, John Deere, and many more also come for campus placement.

Hostel: Staying in hostels is mandatory for all undergraduate students of the Institute. There are seven hostels for boys,three of these halls have single-seated rooms for senior students and two hostels for girls to accommodate the admitted students. Each hostel has a separate mess managed under the supervision of wardens.

Overall: I my opinion one of the best NIT, environment is very good for study and teacher and other staff are co-opearative,ragging is zero in your campus because of the student welfare committe

Placement: It is a good college if you are a hard working student college help you in every way they can to get. you a right knowledge and right job,also teacher are very helpful,and hostels are also good so overall you may come this nit to fulfill your dream job and dream branch

Infrastructure: It's good but it can be better,some times in lab you don't get sufficient instrument to perform your work,but it's can be managed,but in terms of fees it can be better

Faculty: Some teacher are very good and co -operating,and the have ample amount of knowledge but some teacher also have very poor knowledge in terms of academic courses

Hostel: Hostel are very good compared to the other college,hostel food is also good,3 time food is given here,breakfast,lunch,dinner,both veg and non veg is available here,other facilities are also available with wifi connection
