Overall: Overall Review of NITRA Technical Campus My overall experience at NITRA Technical Campus has been a mix of positives and negatives. The college provides affordable education with a decent academic environment, but there are several areas that need improvement. The faculty in the initial years was experienced, making it easier to understand concepts, but now many are freshers, affecting teaching quality. The student-to-faculty ratio has increased, making direct interaction with professors more difficult. Why I Chose This Institute One of the main reasons for choosing NITRA Technical Campus was affordability. With a semi-government structure, it offers lower fees compared to private colleges, making it a viable option for students who cannot afford expensive institutions. The college is located near Delhi-NCR, providing easy access to tech events, hackathons, and communities like GDG, Kotlin, and TensorFlow User Groups. Unlike private institutions, there are no extra or hidden charges, and the admission process is straightforward through counseling. Academic and Placement Experience The course curriculum is somewhat relevant but lacks practical exposure. There are no industry visits or strong industry connections, limiting real-world learning opportunities. Placements for CSE students are not strong, with very few companies visiting the campus. There is no placement awareness program or workshops on interview preparation, coding, or soft skills. Many students seek off-campus placements through their efforts. Infrastructure and Facilities The infrastructure is not well-maintained. The hostel has limited capacity (around 90 for boys and 60-80 for girls), with water problems and overcrowding due to increasing student strength. Mess food quality is average, and the menu remains unchanged. There is no proper sports ground, and students have to arrange their own cricket and volleyball equipment. The library lacks sufficient CSE books, with most books related to textile engineering. Labs are available but with outdated computers, limiting hands-on experience. Campus Life and Student Activities The college does not host technical events, hackathons, or open-source programs with prize money. A student-run club, CodSoc 25, organized one quiz and DSA contest in May 2024 but has been inactive since. The college only organizes a sports fest in March or April, which is funded by the college, while freshers' and farewell parties are conducted with student contributions. There is no annual tech fest or cultural fest, which limits extracurricular exposure. Hostel and PG Life Hostel life is basic, with shared rooms and limited amenities. For students preferring PGs, the rent varies between ₹4,000 - ₹8,000 for single to triple occupancy, with additional charges for maids and utilities. Students staying in PGs buy groceries from nearby markets and arrange their meals. The locality is well-developed and safe, with essential facilities like hospitals, markets, and metro access, making it easier for students to commute and explore opportunities in Delhi-NCR. What Makes NITRA Technical Campus Different? While the college lacks strong placement and technical event support, it stands out for its affordability and location. It is easier to attend tech events in Delhi-NCR compared to colleges in remote locations. However, students must rely on self-learning and off-campus opportunities to build their skills and career prospects. Final Verdict NITRA Technical Campus is a decent choice if affordability and location are your priorities. However, if you are looking for strong placements, technical events, and modern infrastructure, you might want to explore other options. Self-motivated students who actively participate in external events and online learning can still make the most out of their time here.

Placement: Placement Cell & Its Role NITRA Technical Campus has a Placement Cell, but its effectiveness for Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) students is limited. The Placement Cell mainly focuses on textile-related placements, as the institute was historically known for its textile programs. Very few IT companies visit for recruitment, and there is no strong industry network or corporate collaborations for CSE students. The Placement Cell provides: Basic resume-building sessions (but no dedicated mock interview or coding training). Job notifications for students, but most placements are mass recruitment roles in IT support or service-based companies. Placement assistance is weak, and students often rely on off-campus job searches, internships, and external coding platforms. Placement Activities & Programs The college lacks structured placement training programs like: No regular coding contests, hackathons, or interview preparation sessions. No company-specific training for tech firms like TCS, Infosys, or Wipro. No internship support, leaving students to apply independently through platforms like LinkedIn and Internshala. No campus-hosted workshops by industry professionals. Companies Visiting for Recruitment A few IT and software companies have recruited students from NITRA Technical Campus, but most companies are from the textile and manufacturing sectors. Some of the renowned recruiters include: TCS (Tata Consultancy Services) Daffodil Software Control Case International Pvt. Ltd. Innobit Solutions Salary Packages Offered Highest Package: ₹4.5 LPA (Offered by Innobit Solutions) Average Package: ₹3 LPA (Mostly in IT services roles) Lowest Package: ₹1.5 – ₹2 LPA (Support roles, non-core jobs) Internships & Job Readiness Internships are not facilitated by the college; students need to apply off-campus for opportunities in startups and IT firms. Only a small percentage (less than 20%) of students get internships in recognized companies. Many students take self-learning routes by engaging in freelancing, open-source projects, and competitive coding to enhance their job prospects. Final Verdict on Placements ✔ Good for students who take initiative & apply off-campus. ❌ Weak placement support for CSE students. ❌ No structured placement training or industry exposure. ❌ Few core software companies visit the campus. ⭐ Students aiming for strong placements should focus on self-learning, internships, and external job fairs.

Infrastructure: Campus Overview NITRA Technical Campus is located in Ghaziabad, surrounded by farmland (khet) and open spaces, making the environment green and peaceful. The campus is moderate in size, covering essential academic and residential facilities. However, infrastructure development is still in progress, and some facilities are limited compared to other colleges. Academic Blocks & Classrooms Classrooms: Spacious with seating capacity of 60+ students per room. AV Aids: Limited, only a few classrooms have projectors; most rely on blackboard teaching. Labs: Basic computer labs, electronics labs, and mechanical labs available, but some equipment needs upgrading. Library & Study Areas Library: Decent collection of books, journals, and study materials, but digital resources are limited. Study Areas: No dedicated reading rooms, but students can use library space for studying. Missing Infrastructure No auditorium, which limits large-scale events. No dedicated seminar halls, so classrooms are used for guest lectures. No dedicated indoor sports complex or gym within the college. Canteen & Food Facilities No canteen inside the campus, but food stalls and dhabas are available outside. Students rely on nearby eateries for meals and snacks. Sports & Recreation Open Grounds: Used for volleyball, cricket, and casual games. No proper sports complex or gym, so students bring their own sports equipment. Medical & Security Basic first-aid facilities, but no full-time medical staff. Security is strict at hostel gates; campus is safe for students. Transport & Connectivity No dedicated college buses, but public transport is available nearby. Students use autos and shared transport to commute. Favorite Places & Improvements Favorite Spot: The open green areas due to the peaceful environment. Needed Improvements: Canteen, sports facilities, auditorium, and better lab equipment. Despite basic infrastructure, the campus provides a peaceful environment, but major upgrades are needed for academic and recreational facilities.

Faculty: The faculty at NITRA Technical Campus comprises experienced professors and industry professionals who teach the B.Tech curriculum. Most faculty members hold M.Tech or Ph.D. degrees from reputed institutions. The teaching methods include traditional blackboard teaching, PowerPoint presentations, and occasional group discussions. However, practical exposure and project-based learning opportunities are limited. Faculty members are approachable but vary in their problem-solving abilities, with some providing extra guidance while others stick strictly to syllabus coverage. The teacher-student ratio is moderate, but due to increasing student strength, individual attention can sometimes be lacking. Faculty support outside the classroom is generally available, but students often rely on self-study and peer discussions for deeper understanding. While some professors encourage research and innovation, the overall academic experience could improve with more hands-on learning and industry interaction.

Hostel: Residential Facilities Yes, NITRA Technical Campus provides hostel facilities for both boys and girls in separate buildings. However, the number of hostel rooms is limited, and not all students get hostel accommodation due to increasing student strength. Many students opt for PGs or rented rooms nearby. Hostel Structure & Facilities Total Rooms: Limited; most rooms are shared by 2-3 students. Facilities: Basic amenities include beds, study tables, chairs, wardrobes, and fans. Wi-Fi: Available, but not reliable for heavy usage. Water & Electricity: Regular supply, but power cuts occur occasionally. Common Areas: Mess, small recreation area, and a few open spaces. No Gym or Canteen inside the hostel, but facilities are available outside. Mess Food & Hygiene Meals Provided: Breakfast, Lunch, Evening Snacks, and Dinner. Quality & Hygiene: Average, but not great. Food is repetitive and oily at times. Menu: Standard North Indian meals, including dal, roti, rice, sabzi, sometimes paneer, non-veg not allowed and sweets. Hygiene Issues: Cleanliness is maintained, but quality can be inconsistent. Hostel Fees Annual Hostel Fee: ₹36000 Mess Fee:32000. Hostel Rules & Timings Hostel In-Timings: Boys’ Hostel: Entry by 7:30 PM. Girls’ Hostel: Entry by 7:30 PM. Strict Attendance & Curfew: Students must return on time; no night-outs allowed without permission. No Ragging: Strict rules against harassment. PG & Rented Room Options Nearby Due to limited hostel space, many students prefer PGs or rented accommodations in nearby areas. Rent for PGs: ₹4,000 – ₹8,000 per month (depending on occupancy). Maid Charges: ₹1,000 – ₹1,500 (for cleaning & cooking). Other Expenses: Students buy groceries, water bottles, and vegetables from nearby markets. Personal Experience The hostel experience is average with basic facilities but not much recreational activity. The food quality is inconsistent, and infrastructure is minimal. Many students prefer PGs due to better flexibility and food choices.

Overall: College's locality is very good, it have all kind of resources you need , hospital, bus station, train station, airport, all these are in Radius of 10 kilometer from the college, all type of transportation facilities available here .

Placement: Placements are not so good for Computer science and AIML branch but our college have 100 percent placement record for textile branch as this college is under the ministry of textile.

Infrastructure: College's all buildings are new because the college is build in 2012. Labs are good. The NITRA building is old as it was build much before the college.

Faculty: All the faculty here is experienced, all teach good and also clears our doubt, but I suggest everyone one reading this never mess with the faculty of NITRA.

Hostel: There are 2 hostel's only in the campus, one of boys and the other one is for girls, only 45 students of 1st year can stay in hostel and 45 students of 2nd year, 6 of 3rd year, 3 in each room, But in girl's hostel there is no such problem, they can stay 2 in one room.
