About Pandit Deendayal Energy University
Pandit Deendayal Energy University, formerly known as Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, was established in 2007 by GERMI. The private university received the status of Center of Excellence from the Government of Gujarat in 2022. It has also been ranked 94th in the management category in the NIRF Ranking List 2023. Last year, its NIRF rank was 89th in the management category and 106th in the engineering category.
The Pandit Deendayal Energy University courses list includes UG, PG, and doctoral programmes in the fields of engineering, management, science, and humanities. The courses at PUEU are approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). In fact, it is the first private university in Gujarat to be accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an ‘A++’ grade.
The 100-acre PDEU campus is located in Gandhinagar and 23 km north of Ahmedabad. The green campus is well-known for its infrastructure and facilities. The Pandit Deendayal Energy University admission process is primarily an entrance-test-based process. The university accepts scores of national-level entrance tests such as JEE Main, GATE, CAT, XAT, and NMAT for admission to its B.Tech, M.Tech, and MBA. The university also conducts separate entrance exams for courses like BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, and M.Sc. However, there is no entrance exam for MA and M.Com.
