IIT Kanpur Placements 2024 - Average & Highest Package, Percentage

IIT Kanpur placement reports for 2024 has been released for phase 1. A total of 724 B.Tech students registered, with 576 of them getting placements, achieving a placement rate of 95.9%. The average package for B.Tech students was Rs 52.8 LPA, with a median package of Rs 40.7 LPA. In M.Tech, 387 students registered, of which 247 were placed, resulting in a placement rate of 84.40%. The average package for M.Tech students at IIT Kanpur was Rs 28 LPA, with a median package of Rs 27.5 LPA.

During the IIT Kanur placements for MBA the highest package reached Rs 24 LPA. The average package was Rs 18.2 LPA, while the median package was Rs 19.9 LPA. The lowest package offered was Rs 12.5 LPA. A total of 21 recruiters participated, including companies like Infosys, HDFC Bank, and Intellus Direct, with 11 of them being new recruiters. The top 50% of MBA students received packages around Rs 20.5 LPA during IIT Kanpur placements.
 

During the IIT Kanpur placements 2024, the highest package for MBA students was Rs 24 LPA. However, the highest package for B.Tech graduates has not been released yet. The placements saw good participation, with several top recruiters offering competitive packages to the students.

In 2023, the highest package offered at IIT Kanpur placements was Rs 1.9 crore per annum. This package was received by a B.Tech student in the computer science and engineering branch.

As per the IIT Kanpur placement statistics for MBA program highest package was Rs 24 LPA both 2024 and 2023. However, the average package in 2024 slightly increased to Rs 18.2 LPA from Rs 18.14 LPA in 2023. Additionally, the median package was Rs 19.9 LPA and Rs 17.25 LPA in the previous year.

IIT Kanpur has formed several collaborations through MOUs with renowned global institutions. The institute also maintains ties with Akashi National College of Technology and Osaka University in Japan, as well as the University of Tokyo and the University of Kansas. Additional MOUs include Addis Ababa University, University of Malaya, and the University of Michigan. The most frequently visited companies during IIT Kanpur placements include global leaders such as Accenture, Deloitte, and HSBC, as well as major Indian firms like ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank. These companies seek IIT Kanpur graduates for their strong technical and analytical skills.
