Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology recognises the financial burden of students from economically disadvantaged homes and gives them a range of merit-based scholarships based on their past academic achievements.

All of the scholarship plans granted by Dr DY Patil Vidyapeeth are followed by Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology. Students that excel academically are also awarded the RAIT International Scholarship by the institute. To receive the benefit, candidates must complete a RAIT Scholarships form in the college office. The scholarship amount is determined by the student's academic performance and the annual income of his or her parents, on the basis of which a list of students who are eligible for a scholarship is published. The authorities' decision is believed to be final.

Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology offers B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D engineering programmes in five different specialisations, including Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics and Telecommunications, and Electronics and Instrumentation. Under each specialisation, the B.Tech programme offers multiple sub-specializations. The following are details about the RAIT Mumbai courses, as well as eligibility requirements and course fees:

RAIT, Mumbai Eligibility Criteria, 2024

UG Courses:

• The rank acquired in JEE Main (Paper 1) or MHTCET is used to determine admission to B.Tech.
• Candidates applying for B.Tech (lateral entrance) must take the DY Patil Vidyapeeth's Common Entrance Test (CET).
• Candidates must have completed Class 12 from a recognised board to be considered for the B.Tech programme.

PG Courses:

• Candidates must have finished their BE/B.Tech in a relevant field of engineering with a minimum of 50% aggregate.
• Candidates with a non-zero positive GATE score are also eligible for the M.Tech programme.

PhD

• Candidates with an M.Tech/ME in a relevant discipline from an AICTE/UGC/Central Government recognised institute/university are preferred.
• An entrance exam and an interview are required for admission to the PhD programme.
• Candidates who have passed the MPhil Program or have a UGC-NET (including JRF), CSIR NET (including JRF), SLET, GATE, or teacher fellowship score are excused from the entrance exam but must appear for a Personal Interview (PI)

RAIT curriculum focuses a strong emphasis on students' ability to apply classroom knowledge. To earn a degree, students must complete both mandatory and elective courses. As a result, their efforts are recognised. Graduates will be immediately employable because the course content has been carefully adjusted to match the demands of the organisation.

Library

More than 50,000 books are housed in the college's Central Library. Students can check out these books and study in the reading room during college hours. There are also departmental libraries, which are administered by faculty members in each department. The Central Library offers a book bank and an Alumni Association-run Circulating Library for students' convenience.

Hostel

Three male dorms with a total capacity of 140 students are available at the institution. The boarding occupants are solely responsible for keeping the mess clean. When a student is accepted into a hostel, he or she must pay the seat rent in advance for twelve (12) months. Hostel boarders must follow all of the hostel's rules and regulations.

Equipment for the Laboratory

The college's well-equipped labs are available to students in the science disciplines. During the 2012-13 academic year, a computer lab was created for use by PhD Department students. In the 2013-14 academic year, the physics department will gain a new laboratory.

Canteen

The cafeteria at the Institution is large and offers a wide range of competitively priced dining options.

Students can unwind and have a good time in one of the college's two Common Rooms, which feature a range of video game consoles. This package includes one for the boys and one for the females.

Facilities for Sporting Events

Indoor and outdoor sporting facilities are available at the institution (football, volleyball, cricket, badminton etc.). These students compete in intercollegiate competitions at the local, state, and even national levels.

Many extracurricular events are organised by RAIT. All of the technical committees put on a festival twice a year that is open to everyone outside of the college. Every year in the months of March, a cultural festival named "Horizon" is held, which is one of the best cultural festivals in all of Mumbai and Navi Mumbai (for the first time, the festival was cancelled in the year 2020 due to the COVID 19 Pandemic). It's a three-day cultural festival including live performances, fashion shows, electronic dance music concerts, and numerous amusement games. Passes are offered for those who are not affiliated with the College.

Every year in February or March, RAIT hosts the Udaan charity race. It is open to everyone. It is around 6 to 7 kilometres long. A large number of people attend the event. In the year 2020, the event is expected to draw tens of thousands of people.

The college also hosts a variety of activities for its students, such as Stamina (a sports competition), Cultural Days, Teacher's Days, and so on. RAIT also serves as a platform for the development of performing arts, literary arts, and fine arts by encouraging students to compete in various competitions and organising a variety of state and national events.

RAIT also organises a variety of additional social and environmental activities, such as volunteer work with poor children and the elderly in nursing homes, as well as environmental cleanliness and awareness drives.
