SCE bangalore M.Tech Admission

Admission to the Master of Technology Course shall be open to all the candidates who have passed B.E. / B.Tech. Examinations (in relevant field) of VTU or any other University / Institution or equivalent examination recognized by the University.

Admission to M.Tech. Course shall be open to the candidates who have passed the prescribed qualifying examinations with not less than 50% of the marks in the aggregate of all the years of the degree examinations.

In the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST and Group I, the aggregate percentage of marks in the qualifying examinations shall not be less than 45%.

SCE bangalore B.Tech Admission

Admission to I year / I semester Bachelor Degree in Engineering / Technology shall be open to the candidates who have passed the second year Pre-University or XII standard or equivalent examination recognized by the University.

In addition to OB 2.1, the candidate shall have secured not less than forty five percent (45%) marks in the aggregate with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with any one of the following subjects, namely, Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science, Biology and Electronics.

  • Provided that, the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility shall be forty percent (40%) in optional subjects in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST and OBC candidates from Karnataka.
  • Provided further that, the candidate shall have studied and passed English as one of the subjects.

Admission to II year/ III semester Bachelor Degree in Engineering/ Technology (Lateral Entry) shall be open to the candidates who are holders of a diploma or equivalent qualification as recognized by University who have secured not less than forty five percentage (45%) marks in the final year examination (fifth and sixth semesters) in the appropriate branch of engineering.

  • Provided that, in case of SC/ST and OBC candidates from Karnataka the minimum marks for eligibility shall be forty percent (40%).
  • Provided further that, all the candidates seeking lateral entry shall also clear prescribed bridge courses as specified by the University.

Those candidates who have passed a qualifying examination other than the PUC II examination of the Pre-University Education Board of Karnataka, or Engineering Diploma Examinations of the Board of Technical Education of Karnataka, have to obtain eligibility certificate for seeking admission to B.E./B.Tech. Degree Course from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum or from the Principal of concerned Engineering College of Karnataka State.

The last date for option entry was after extension was November 21, and hence, you cannot apply for the same now. However, KEA will soon release the round 2 options entry dates on its website. We suggest you keep checking the KEA portal regularly to stay updated. However, you must first ensure that you meet the eligibility criteria and complete the document verification process as per the counselling schedule. If you could share your preferred location, course and colleges for admission, we may be able to suggest a few colleges that you can shortlist from the list during the options entry round.

Dear Student,

You can sit for the Karnataka PGCET exam for CSE paper even after being an ECE non-Karnataka student. There are no restrictions for students of other states to join the Karnataka PGCET exam. However, it is important for the other states’ students to meet the eligibility criteria in order to take the exam. The criterion to be eligible states that the students need to score a minimum of 50% in their graduation. You should also note that those belonging to the SC/ ST category shall be considered as the General category students in contrast to the other states’ categories.
