A candidate for admission to LL.M. degree programme should have passed the LL.B. degree examination of a recognized University having secured not less than 50% of marks in the aggregate out of the maximum marks prescribed.
A candidate for admission to the B.A.LL.B.(Honours) must have-
(a) Passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) or an equivalent examinations securing in aggregate not less than 45% (General Category) or 40% (SC/ST and OBC Category) of the total marks. Those who will be passing their Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examinations this year can go through the selection process and seek provisional admission.
(b) Not completed 21 years of age as on 1st July. In case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category a relaxation of one year in age shall be admissible as per the Bar Council of India rules, 2008. In exceptional and deserving cases the upper age limit may be relaxed by the Administrative Head at Kolkata.
