The Vidyapeetha library is housed in a commodious building having a total floor area of 586 sqm. on the ground and first floors with 290 sqm. of stocking accommodation. It has about 63926 books of various subjects of learning. In view of the current requirements, 35 journals are subscribed by the library. The library also provides Book Bank facility to the needy students. By the year 2003-2004 the Book Bank had a collection of 4550 books. Seats have been earmarked to facilitate undistrubed and effective use of the library.
Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri National Sanskrit Vidyapeeth (Deemed University) is an educational institution at national level. Students from all over the country come to study here and therefore management of hostel is an important activity for the Vidyapeeth. It has the following objectives:
In order to ensure effective supervision and co-ordination of N.C.C. activities in the Vidaypeeth, Prof. Piyush Kant Dixit and Dr. Minu Kashyap were selected as N.C.C. Officers on 8th August 1996 by a high level interview committee set up under the chairmanship of the V.C. of University or Delhi. On their selection, these two officers were given the rank of 2nd lieutenant. As per the condition of the selection they underwent a military training through a refresher course at Officers Training School, Kamti (Nagpur) and officers Training School, Gwalior in 1997-98. These two officers have been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on (9th August 1999). Filled with inspiration, discipline and sense of unity, the cadets of the Vidyapeetha took part in various programmes of national importance and glorified the name of the Vidyapeeth in the distant parts of the country. Through N.C.C., they also served the name of Indian Culture with great efficiency. We take pride in our cadets for these accomplishments within such a short period of time.
