LPU offers a number of graduation courses, and there is certain eligibility criteria that a student is required to meet to take admission. In general, the score in 12th should be as required as per eligibility mentioned on the website for every course. In addition to that, the candidate needs to qualify LPUNEST to get admission to courses like B.Tech., Hons, B.Pharm etc.. For some courses like BA, B.Comm, BBA etc LPUNEST is not mandatory. LPUNEST (Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test) is a national level entrance test conducted by LPU and is considered for offering Scholarship as well as determining Eligibility for admission in various programmes. So, it totally depends on the eligibility criteria for the course you wish to take admission to. The aim of conducting the test is to check how far the concepts are clear to the student. LPUNEST provides an opportunity to applicants who could not perform well in the qualifying examination owing to various personal, academic or procedure specific reasons and is therefore not able to derive the benefit of scholarship scheme of the university. Scholarship can be availed in all the Programmes of the University, ranging from Diploma to Ph.D through LPUNEST score, and various other schemes. So, I suggest you to appear in LPUNEST to get maximum benefit. I hope this will help you to have a better insight of the requirements for admission at LPU. Wish you all the best.
