VSSUT admission for the academic year 2024-25 is ongoing. Admission to BTech, MTech, Integrated M.Sc, and MCA programmes starts after the completion of the prescribed entrance examinations. For BTech admission, OJEE scores are required. The OJEE exam 2024 has ended, and the special OJEE exams have started. The second special OJEE 2024 will be held between June 24 and 26, 2024. Being a technical university, BTech is the most popular course at VSSUT. There is also a B.Tech+M.Tech programme and a B.Arch programme available. The university offers admission to its various B.Tech programmes based on JEE Main or Special OJEE. Special OJEE is conducted by the OJEE authorities for those candidates who have missed the JEE Main exam. VSSUT BTech admission is done through the OJEE counselling process conducted by OJEE.
VSSUT MCA admission is also done through OJEE counselling based on OJEE scores obtained by the candidates. MCA candidates must have a related bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks to be eligible for VSSUT selection process for MCA. The same goes for admission to Integrated M.Sc. The university also conducts a separate entrance exam for Integrated M.Sc. On the other hand, MTech selection at the institute is done based on GATE. However, non-GATE candidates are also offered admission based on career assessment in case of vacant seats.

VSSUT admission is granted to its different programmes based on the prescribed entrance exams, except for the M.Sc programmes. For courses like BTech, BArch, MCA, and Integrated M.Sc, there is a centralised counselling process conducted by the OJEE authorities as a part of VSSUT Burla selection process. On the other hand, admission to MTech and M.Sc programmes is offered by the institute directly based on GATE scores and/ or career assessments.
Step 1: Entrance Exam
Aspiring students must take the course-specific entrance exams prescribed by the university to be eligible for admission. JEE Main and Special OJEE are considered for B.Tech admission, while OJEE is for MCA and BArch admission. For Integrated M.Sc, the entrance exam is OJEE or the entrance test conducted by the university. Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology M.Tech admission is primarily done based on GATE. However, there is no entrance exam for M.Sc.
Step 2: Counselling
BTech, BArch, MCA, and Integrated M.Sc candidates need to participate in the OJEE counselling for final seat allotment. Such candidates who have allocated seats through OJEE counselling must register on the university’s admission portal to finalise their admission. M.Tech and M.Sc candidates must participate in the counselling rounds conducted by the university for final admission.
Step 3: Payment of Admission Fee
Candidates who have been allotted a seat at the institute must pay the dedicated VSSUT admission fee to finalise their admission. Candidates failing to pay the admission fee within the deadline may lose their seats at the institute for VSSUT admission.

VSSUT Burla UG admission means admission to its various BTech programmes, one BArch programme, one BTech+MTech programme, and various Integrated M.Sc programmes. As per VSSUT eligibility criteria for UG courses, candidates must have passed Class 12 with PCM/PCB and with a minimum of 45% from a recognised board. Candidates may lose their candidature failing to meet the abovementioned eligibility criteria. At the same time, VSSUT selection criteria for UG courses also demand eligible candidates to take JEE Main or Special OJEE/ OJEE and participate in the following OJEE counselling.

VSSUT PG admission process differs for different PG courses. For example, MTech candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognised university as per VSSUT eligibility criteria for MTech. For MCA students, a BCA degree or equivalent with at least 50% marks. As per the VSSUT selection criteria for PG courses, candidates need to take GATE for MTech and OJEE for MCA. Non-GATE MTecha and M.Sc aspirants are offered admissions solely based on career assessments.

The process for submitting VSSUT Burla applications can be completed entirely online. The university has a dedicated application portal for this purpose. Along with MTech and M.Sc candidates, BTech, BArch, MCA, and Integrated M.Sc candidates who have been allocated seats through OJEE must register on this portal for final admission. The university releases course-wise application dates within which candidates must complete the VSSUT application process.

Step 2: Complete the registration process by providing all the basic information and log in to the portal with your login credentials.

The registration fee for VSSUT admissions through its official portal is 0. However, students need to pay VSSUT application fee in the form of entrance exam fees. This fee will change for differnet exams and for different category of students. For example, application fees for JEE Main are Rs 1,000 general male students and Rs 800 for general female students.
