Overall: VIT is overall a good college for students and it has an amazing infrastructure and exposure is good. It has an amazing lab facility and lots of canteen as well

Placement: Placements in VIT are good if you maintain a good CGPA and if you do your interview well. Many companies come to VIT so if you can study well You might get a super dream offer.

Infrastructure: VIT infrastructure is really great and each academic block is unique and different from others . And the old classes are still the same but new ones are good aswell.

Hostel: My experience of staying in the hostel was really bad. Hostel room was not that good (3-bed) and the mess is good but not that good for that price I paid.

Good campus, poor education quality
By Ranjith | M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering | 2024

Overall: Campus infra is really good. But education quality is very poor. Professors are not really good in what they are teaching. Coming to placements it's not 100% for sure... They will simply send people to mass recruitment drive to show 100% placement rate.

Placement: In VIT in the name of placements they will send you for the internship and there it's not sure that we will get converted. But when VIT shows the report it says they placed 100% students but they will be either doing internship or will be searching for some other job.

Infrastructure: Campus is well maintained, nice infrastructure and really advanced library. We feel like we are in a engineering college. But more restrictions are there in this college.

Faculty: If you are here for a education, better.choose some other colleges. Few Lecturers don't have enough knowledge on the subject what they are teaching. Only few lecturers have knowledge but to certain extent

Hostel: Hostel is good , you will get AC rooms and non AC rooms from single sharing to 4 sharing. But all the students who are staying more than 60kms radius away are forced to stay in hostel doesn't matter you are boy or a girl

A place to learn, a chance to grow
By Amol Suraj Mishra | M.Tech. Software Engineering (Integrated programme) | 2019

Overall: Rightly given by the tagline of university. We get to learn a lot of things here, due to wide opportunities given here. Besides that we have a very good and diverse peer group from different parts of India, with whom we get to live, compete and we learn a lot from them! If you want to have an overall growth, do join VIT University.

Placement: When I say this, I am saying on behalf of 30000 students. There are people who get dream and super dream package. You should be really self built and good enough to get that. Very much possible to get. But unfortunately most of them waste their time in college doing nothing throughout their college tenure and in the end only get mass placement at TCS and infosys respectively. So on an average placement is average. But its upon you, if you can work hard, be awesome in your lot you can crack big 30 lpa placements also.

Infrastructure: This is the best as far as Vellore campus is concerned where I am from. Campus is 360 acres. Very beautiful and spacious campus. Its a green campus. You have railway track going from center of university. College and 6 girls hostel is on main side. On other side of railway track we have 17 boys hostels.

Faculty: Faculties are ok ok to give you brief idea of subject. They arent of stanford and MIT level to teach you everything like GOD. After learning basics from them you will have to do self study to gain mastery in that topic. Else best teachers are friends. Discuss with them and you can master the subject too!

Hostel: This is really really good!!! The best thing I would say. Rooms are very spacious. You have 1,2,3,4,6 bed rooms and both AC and non-AC. Mess are really good. You have 5 types of mess. Special, North indian veg and non-veg, South indian veg and non veg. Washrooms are all the time clean in hostel and never have they stinked so far

Great academics and great extracurriculars

Overall: The academics is pretty great here. We study in CAL(curriculum applied learning) mode. Where we making projects for each subject that we study, is mandatory. So we get to learn a lot practical experience. University is mostly digital as you get to write your exams also on digital tablets. Extra curricular is pretty awesome with above 200 clubs and chapters. You have 2 fests in an academic year. Gravitas and riveira. Technical and cultural fests.
