The library of Vijaya Teachers College is committed to serve the staff and students. The library since its establishment in the year 1960 has sincerely followed the fifth law of library – “Library is a growing organism”. It has simply grown from its infant stage with 379 books to the present stage of “one of best libraries of education in Karnataka” with 14,741 quality books. The library with carpet area of 71.25 x 20.5 = 1460.625 sq.m has a seating capacity of 40 readers at a time. It provides students with access to a vast repository of resources including books, encyclopedias, journals and periodicals. The Hostel is meant only for ladies. It is situated in the Vijaya College campus on R.V. Road, Basavanagudi. It is mainly run on sharing basis and students from various states of India are residing there. Excellent accommodation is provided and the quality of food is given topmost attention. well equipped Auditorium named after our Hon’ Secretary Prof. B. V. Narayana Rao. This Auditorium is shared by other institutions in the campus. The auditorium has audio equipments of excellent quality, exhaust fans and a professional stage of a high school standard. The auditorium is provided with molded plastic chairs and accommodates about 1000 audience. The college has a seminar hall in the II floor. It has an oval shaped table around which 60 participants can sit comfortably during seminars. Screens for OHP and LCD projectors are provided. Comfortable steel chairs with hand rest of high quality are also provided. Fans, tiled roof make our seminar hall very attractive.
