Virudhunagar Group Of Colleges Campus Facilities - Hostel Fees, Infrastructure, Address

LIBRARY:-The Library is functioning in a separate building named “V.P.PERIASAMY NADAR MEMORIAL LIBRARY” with an area of Ground Floor 2560 Sq.ft and First Floor 1989 Sq.ft. The Library has a collection of 36,700 Volumes of Books, 37 Volumes of Magazines and Periodicals. Encyclopedias, Periodicals, Dictionaries, Departmentwise CD’s (346 Nos.) and Reference Books are also available for reference. Each Department is having a Department Library separately.

HOSTEL:-V.S.V.N. Polytechnic College students Hostel is an integral part of the college campus and it is run by V.S.V.N. Polytechnic college Managing board. Separate Hostel facilities has been provided for Boys and Girls. The Mess is run on the basis of Dividing system among the students with three of the nominated students as students representative.

 Canteen and Lunch Area:-A canteen is functioning in the campus at Students Amenities Hall for the benefit of staff and students. The canteen building is situated adjacent to the tennis court of the Polytechnic College. Quality Food, Tea, Coffee, Cool Drinks and snacks are available for the refreshment. The canteen is run by the polytechnic college managing board. A committee consisting of teaching faculty advises the canteen towards its betterment. Department wise Lunch Area is allocated to the students to take their lunch.

TRANSPORT:-Transport service is provided for the benefit of girls’ students and lady staff members of polytechnic college. Mini bus and state transport bus run up to the main road near the polytechnic college. Students are utilising the facility of season tickets at concession fee rates for Railway transport. The polytechnic college bus is maintained periodically under the guidance of Department of Mechanical Engineering.
