Vivekananda Global University Reviews

L

Overall: Around 80% of students were placed. The average package was 3.5 LPA and the highest was 11 LPA. Top companies, like TCS and Tech Mahindra, were there. The top roles offered were HR, development, and management roles. Internship facilities were limited but students can get one with the job offered. Infrastructure: The labs and classrooms were average and the library facilities were good. There are hostels with a lot of seats available and the mess is below average, as the food is not quite satisfactory, according to my opinion. Hostels were good and clean. The greenery was good. Faculty: Yes, teachers were helpful and qualified a little bit but not in all subjects; they need time if you ask out of the syllabus questionnaire. The curriculum was old and needed to be improved based on the current needs of the companies. They offer placement assistance. Other: Management should be improved. Other events, clubs and everything else were interesting and good.

Overall: The most important detail about VIT (EAST) is that the entrance. The college gate closes at sharp 8 am, and you will not be allowed in until 9 am. Once you get in, there is no going out unless you have the written permission. The college uniform is compulsory. The college fest is okay not good. The main problem is the connectivity, and practically it is the remote location. There are not many transportation options available you have to depend upon "TATA MAGIC TAXI", which are available only during the college hours.

Placement: The top faculty members are good, but the lower one has the experience ranging from 0-1 year, some are even the same college passed out student. As I said, top 2-3 faculty members in every branch are good, helpful, and qualified. They know how to teach, and the rest are just passing there time. The student to teacher ratio is good. The mechanical branch has around 70-80 students of which there are six faculty members including the HOD. There is no curriculum at all, all they make us write the notes and revise them to pass the exams. The sports on your own.
