The eligibility for the course is a pass with 55% aggregate marks in Bachelor’s degree (any discipline) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST or CAT or MAT or XAT or NMAT or CMAT and Interview The course focuses on the development of language skills for academic writing: the language of analysis, evaluation, discussion, description, and reflection. This course explores the geography of the culinary world with particular reference to the origins and diffusion of the world’s major staples and their relationships with regional cuisines and tourist sites. Topics include the relationship between tourism, food, and wine, political, social, economic contexts of food production; assess foods and food-related events that have an impact on tourism. This course introduces various departments of hotels and resorts, their functions, the contribution of each department in the hotel business, internal management of hospitality, work culture, style, profiles, and opportunities. This course provides a comprehensive analysis of individual and group behavior in organizations. Its purpose is to provide an understanding of how organizations can be managed more effectively and at the same time enhance the quality of employees' work life. This course integrates the accounting requirements of the hospitality industry with generally accepted accounting principles. The students will be introduced to accounting concepts, conventions, accounting processes, and the preparation of financial statements. Introduction to tourism destinations worldwide and their geography, introduction to basics of computer software and hardware, IT, internet and networking with special reference to online reservation software and their application in Tourism and hospitality industry is also given. The NIRF ranking of LPU in the management programs is 37. The highest salary offered to the students was 21 LPA while 5.5 LPA was the average salary package. The fee for the course is Rs 1,90,000 per semester.
