About M.Sc Virology

M.Sc Virology is a post-graduate level degree course offered under the Science stream. The course covers detailed description of viruses, human viral disease, the evolution of the virus, its detailed structure and mechanism. 

 The M.Sc Virology degree programme is specifically designed to fulfil the need of the health sector for highly trained professionals in the field of virology and immunology. Students who complete the course are involved in the study of viruses for research and disease associated with it.

M.Sc Virology Eligibility Criteria

Following are the minimum eligibility criteria for admission in  M.Sc Virology course:

  • The candidate must hold a bachelor's degree in Life Sciences/ Virology /Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Zoology/ Medical Lab Technology/ MBBS/ B.VSc.

  • He/ She must have scored at least 55% marks in the qualifying examination. 

Admission Process 

Admission in M.Sc Virology course offered in most of the institutes is considered on the basis of the entrance examination. Pune university conducts university-level online examination for M.Sc Virology admission and Suresh Gyan Vihar University conducts SVUEE entrance exam. 

The candidate must apply at the respective institute to appear in the entrance exam. The merit list is prepared for qualifying candidates after the entrance exam. Further admission process like documents verification and payment of fee is done on the basis of merit list.
